And don't forget - this pathetic douchecanoe was named as a John in the DC Madam's sex diary a few years back. Clearly, another stereotypical "family values for thee, but not for me" Republican.

...or at least using the same locker rooms as non-gays

I guess I don't really understand how this legislation could theoretically apply to the NFL anyways. How does- How would this even work? My brain is broken now, I'm going to go lay down.

Please do not feed the lobbyist troll.

There's not a single part of this story that I can handle. Not one.

A part of me wants her to sign it, too, only if to spark a revolution against the stupidity that is known as religion. I hope it challenges the entire foundation of religious institutions in this country, bring about major tax exemption reform, political reform, not to mention an end-all for all this cherry-picked

Agreed. I want Arizona to be an example of what will happen to any state that passes legislation like this and I want the entire rotten GOP leadership of the state to take the blame.

Super Bowl XLIX is slated to be played in Arizona in 2015. There's precedence for the NFL pulling the game to a new location: the 1993 Super Bowl was moved to Pasadena when Arizona refused to create a holiday for MLK. I'm hoping the same thing happens here, since last time it cost Arizona a huge amount of money

My scifi inclination is telling me that those anti-vaccer's have allowed the polio virus to incubate and mutate in humans, such that the efficacy of the old vaccine is diminished.

Here's the deal. They don't have to deal with the fallout, really. Jan Brewer is going to be the one who does. If she signs it, it's law, and they can say they tried to convince her not to, that they made a mistake and that they're not bigots come election time. If she doesn't sign it, they can say come election time

They said that the bill was "mischaracterized... as a sword for religious intolerance" which really doesn't sound like much of an apology at all to me, it just sounds like them shifting the blame to the people who aren't okay with it.

"These allegations are causing our state immeasurable harm," the letter states.

"I had a lapse last week" means accidentally leaving your keys in the fridge after getting groceries, not advocating for 21st century Jim Crow legislation.

They didn't expect it to pass. But they were totally cool with wasting a bunch of taxpayer money doing some bullshit grandstanding, and now that's it backfired and they realize how absolutely horrible this thing would be for their state, they're running around on a makeshift apology tour. Oh, OK then. No biggie. You

Yeah, but does he get a book deal and a ring out of it?

Didn't say which direction (taller or shorter) but I'm guessing his actual height is one inch more...

Not just mongrel, but subhuman mongrel. As if mongrel wasn't bad enough on its own, he had to embellish it with that extra little bit so we'd all know for sure he thinks of our President as 3/5 of a person.

I'm not saying I agree with OP, but using an alumni connection is not nepotism.

On the plus side, this opens a space for my latest piece. Called "Tissue", this thought provoking masterpiece is designed to make you think about loneliness and how wasteful man can be. It is definitely not a used tissue from my cold.
