This morning I read a FB article about a school that had a pool party for 6th graders (11/12 yos) and required only the girls to wear a non-white shirt over their suits. That’s troublesome enough, but then all the comments defending the policy made me concerned for my daughter’s future.
Both teachers and child care providers are two of the most underpaid professions in this country. I get really pissed when people think that teachers are just stand ins for child care providers because even child care providers deserve to be paid 2-3x what they actually make.

As a parent myself, I love it when people don’t want kids.
It’s almost like discrimination, alienation, harassment, inequality and religious bigotry are things that are more likely to cause people to become radicalized or violent, rather than less. Huh.
