I’m probably going to get flamed for this but I think this is one of those things that needs to happen. In that the old way needs to die before a better one can take its place. It won’t be pretty but the march of history rarely is. 

TPM wasn’t very good I will give it that but what ultimately redeems it in the eyes of this Star Wars fan is this: It brought back Star Wars. Would we be where we are now with TV shows and theme parks now without it?

Something I can’t help but think about when articles like this come up:

I’m getting to the point where I think the best we can do right now is hope we can survive at least another decade until most of the Boomer politicians and their voting blocs have reduced in numbers and millenials take over.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be in my Happy Place (nerd stuff) until the next election. 

I know this is terrible but there is some bleak, cosmic, hilarity in this.
