I want to like it so much, but I just can't bring myself to watch it. I've gotten three minutes in to an episode probably eight times.

Oh, no doubt, it's all bullshit - I should have said I got the understanding they're claiming some of the footage in the movie is real. But given people involved with both this and The Conjuring explicitly claimed they were making it to convince people they were real, they make me a little wary.

I'm even more uncomfortable with this movie than I was with The Conjuring's "based on real events" conceit, because, based on the early advertising, they're leaning on it really hard. The entire AMC first look was all the actors telling you about the "horrifying footage" that Roger Sarchie showed them. I got the

Are you going to keep existing after this movie comes out? I feel like you'll just wink into nothing when the credits roll.

I can't imagine how baffled someone would be if they only saw the European version. I almost feel the show cheapens the beauty of the whole last ten minutes of it by turning everything into secret obvious clues about the case.

Hey, the Pharisees get a bad rap, don't insult them by associating them with Santorum.

Goddammit, you've now made me realize that there's definitely someone out there who really does insist that the shorts were the best the Simpsons ever got, and I hate them.

After the constant praise on here for a while, I finally watched the show - I even watched the specific episodes that people recommended - and just didn't see anything that interesting in it. I think it's the constant problem of praised TV shows: most people who don't care for them don't talk about them as much, so it
