For a second I though that said taking vows of puberty and I was both alarmed and intrigued.

I’m still not convinced Face ID isn’t broadcasting the image to people somewhere who are laughing at me.

You seem to conflate the idea of people refusing to have a debate based in certain positions they reject, with actually silencing people’s speech.

Sometimes it seems like me [or others] replying or starring people gets them out but I’m not sure if that’s permanent or even if that actually works?

I was refuting two points that someone ignorantly made in their post. Yes there are treatments that help pedophiles control and redirect their impulses, but they aren’t cures. As for locking them up, that was in response to the assertion that locking them up essentially does no good. Well, yes it does take them out of

This spectre of liberal totalitarianism is always the excuse anti-PC people use as the reason for their bigotry and it’s weird because I don’t see how that removes their responsibility for choosing to act like douchebags and places it on the people they hurt. Political correctness isn’t perfect; it’s not a guarantee

I do agree that his family deserves sympathy right now. However, he plead guilty. He was in a position to serve his time and to receive treatment. He chose to end his life when he probably had better access to potential help and better legal representation than most. The notion that society somehow failed him does not

The thing is, if people disagree with you and say, “No, that’s stupid and you’re stupid for thinking it,” that’s discourse. It’s not effective discourse, but it’s still discourse. That’s the exchange of ideas and what free speech ensures. If these conservative people are going to sit there and say, “your words have a

to me, “political correctness” = being polite & realizing that everyone around you isn’t necessarily exactly like you & taking that into account. i understand it can be taken to extremes but in general, it’s just a politeness thing. in my eyes, people who rail against being “p.c.” are bigots & xenophobes.

“Nope. I want to be able to barge into a pride center and tell all the homos that they disgust me,” Ladies and gentlemen, here is your Republican platform in one sentence.

I think there should be an exploration of differences between comedy that pushes boundaries compared to that which is blatantly offensive. Lenny Bruce (though I don’t think his comedy is really that funny) saying the ‘n’ word is a lot different than when Michael Richards yelled it out on stage. Richard Pryor, George

I love comedy that pushes boundaries. I am a (mostly) unashamed fan of shows like Family Guy. I have Cerebral Palsy, and they have made some jokes about that and similar disabilities that I have gotten a good laugh out of. It is very hard to offend me.

The cast of this show...sheesh...

He probably should be angry at ageism and irrelevance being more to do with edged out of Hollywood than his ‘edgy’ views. But that would make him feel weak.

It’s like coal supporters being mad at renewables and regulation - instead of the the real killer, cheap natural gas in a free market.

Or blaming immigration on

Finally someone brave enough to take a stand against basic human decency!
