I mean I don’t think Katharine would disagree that the second headline you propose here is going too far into spoilery territory.

No it’s not like that at all. The whole point of a game is the score. The point of a film is the narrative and how well it’s written and constructed and what it makes you think and feel. If knowing spoilers ruined the experience of watching a film in the same way that knowing the score ruins the tension of a sporting…
It’s one thing expect, like, your personal friends not to be dicks on social media and post spoiler-y opinions or whatever. But asking a professional critic or culture writer not to analyze a film’s content until a week has passed seems absurd to me. If someone is so spoiler-phobic that they can’t stomach seeing the…
The thing is especially for something like Endgame, no one is deciding whether or not to see it based on a review. So I’d personally rather have spoiler reviews that can actually discuss the content of the film for me to read AFTER watching it. For big tentpole-type movies, I think reviews should be treated much more…
I could not give less of a shit what politicians eat or how they eat it. This is a dumb and annoying “news” trend and I wish it would go away.
Like all series fiction of the era, there was a mystery spinoff sub-series.
Did Binky and Claudi Kishi survive the Kinjpocalypse?
I had a similar thought.
I don’t know when he became more Fred Andrews and less Dylan McKay to me, but here we are. Get well, dude! No one does TV heartthrobs like you.
She lied about her age, because he told her to lie to him about her age. She told him her age. He said, no tell me you’re 18. She said I’m 18. That does not count.
That Old 97's song about him came out in, like, 1998? Something like that, so yeah, he’s been a messy piece of garbage for decades. That doesn’t make the Times’ expose any less important though.
“i would get in trouble if someone knew we talked like this”
Leaving aside the fact that one of the people he targeted was fucking 14, lines like:
“She never played another gig.”
AND (from a different person)
Yeah that seems like the real takeaway from this article. /sarcasm
Seriously. Why is that taking so fucking long?
It is! I lost my username in the Kinjpocalypse.
I mean I really don’t need any further proof that Jann Wenner is a complete asskissing douche. I suppose Tannenbaum’s story could be exaggerated, but ... given that he himself acknowledges that maybe he should have been more compliant with Jann’s wishes if he didn’t want to get on the boss’ bad side, I feel…
Jesse tried to get me out of them months ago, but it didn’t work for whatever reason. I think I’m cursed.
More than slightly diva-ish. Complaining to the publisher about a fucking Q&A is lame. But, yes, Wenner was the one who made the call to fire him. I agree with that.
But there were mixed messages here for sure. If he was given a one-year contract for his skill with fun Q&As, then it seems reasonable for him to have presumed that the magazine liked his style in selecting questions.
