I’m not sure if this is helpful but I got Skyla (the IUD) in July I think, and I was on and off bleeding/spotting for seriously like two months. It sucked but now I’m perfectly regular and actually have VERY light periods now with minimal cramping. Stick it out, I think your body will stabilize soon.

I’m happy for you, but ugh, shower sex is the worst!

You always kill me with your comments

Now that there’s been two recs for this book here I think I’m just going to have to buy it and read it next :-)

I also turn 26 this year! :-) However I still have almost $20k in student loans thanks to grad school that I’ll probably be paying for many more years. I also have I think about $11k on a 4 year car loan that I just bought in August. I pay $250 on each of those each month. I have a 403b since I work for a

I have been meaning to read People’s History. Thanks for the recommendations! Those other two sound fantastic as well.

Thank you for this response. It makes so much sense and is a great way of looking at it.

Mine was super simple - basically sprinkled eggplant slices and chicken breasts with garlic and onion powder and salt and pepper, baked them, then layered them in a dish with crushed tomatoes (with more garlic & onion powder and salt & pepper), shredded mozzarella, and parmesan and baked it and broiled at the end.

I am NO financial savant so take what I say with a grain of salt (or maybe just do the opposite) but I would just pay them off. Even if it makes more “sense” to invest the extra money or save it or whatever, having that debt gone would be a HUGE psychological boost I would think. Also I’ve been carrying like $2000

Holy shit. I’m so sorry about that. I don’t even know what else to say besides I’m glad you have cute cats to make you feel better. As I’m writing this comment mine got up from his kitty bed next to me and went to go lay on his perch across the room so I’m a little bit offended.

I got a car wash today too!! I think today was the first time my legs have seen sunlight since like, October. Which is bad because I’m going to Puerto Rico on Thursday for 5 days and I’m about to get BURRRNNTT.

I actually wrote about this elsewhere today too, but I was born into a Christian conservative family and attended Lutheran school from pre-k to 12th grade, and really didn’t change my way of thinking to become more liberal until I started grad school around age 21/22. I get depressed sometimes about how much I don’t

So impressive. I actually cook quite a bit (just made a great eggplant and chicken Parmesan last night!), but can’t quite seem to work up the motivation to make multiple meals at once. I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor immediately!

Omg I would kill for a women’s gym.

I also went running in “normal” clothes today (light longsleeve shirt and shorts) AND also just bought 2 for 1 spring candles from BBW :-)

After grad school I was stuck in a job I was way overqualified and underpaid for, and I spent seriously like 9 months applying and interviewing for new jobs. It fucking sucked. I still shudder when I see “indeed.com.” Best of luck to you though!!

Try looking for exercises that hit multiple muscle groups, like squatting with dumbbells/barbell and then going up into a shoulder press. Other ones could be lunges while doing shoulder flys, pushups on a stability ball followed by leg tucks, or burpies.

I’m pretty sure for the past 4 weekends straight I’ve said “okay, I’m going to wash my bathroom and kitchen floors and vacuum this weekend.”

I’m so sorry to hear that. I wish you the best of luck in your search for a job that satisfies and suits you.

Congrats and good luck!! I have aspirations of one day doing a full day of meal prepping, but alas, it has not yet come to fruition.
