I myself don't get it, but it is a huge part of the modern day society. And it doesn't look like it is going away any time soon.

My #1 wish:

But no starships with bat-armor! The armor on Voyager in the last episode was pure Batmobile.

Now playing

Instead of taking 5 months (the time he was in the pit prison / the length of time the nuke had before it would deteriorate) to heal from a broken back (which, depending on the location of break can take 5-8 months to heal)

Absolutely. Somebody didn't take history and learn about WW1. Human waves just don't work when attacking an entrenched position with automatic weapons. That's just a really good way to kill a lot of your own soldiers.

I'd argue that he wanted to beat him man to man - an ego fight if you will.

Actually I think that Batman was using fear gas on Bane during the first scene. That's why there wasn't more smoke - I think it was supposed to be a chemical/psychological weapon, and why Bane starts talking about conquering your fear.

1. Nope. That third fight doesn't count - Batman was half tied up, with a knife wound in his chest/stomach. You don't fight well in that condition.

I don't think Batman was suicidal during the first fight - but I can see him not being as prepared as he could have been. He didn't know who he was facing, and had only regular equipment required for fighting a regular brawler.

Agreed. Fisticuffs in the middle of the street is very medieval and weird. Especially given Bane's advantage of not feeling pain.

It was good, but it wasn't THAT good. I liked the movie, and saw it immediately after The Dark Knight, and it wasn't nearly as good. Spoilers below.

Ah, I see - it's a Legend of Korra reference! That's why I didn't get it.

AWESOME! Now I am sad I didn't see him at the con. Saw a bunch of other stuff, but not this guy.

I don't get it - what is he referencing?

No worries. I am just annoyed because I would like to try a fast and sloppy algorithm for climate analysis, they promised, and failed to deliver.

Nice description, you are right. However, this is a straight-up castle, not a fort. And a mortar would take even one of these forts apart - the only way out of that is to dig in under ground.

Nuke the entire site from orbit—it’s the only way to be sure.

Yes yes, I know what it says. I just have higher expectations from an article that claims to allow prediction of climate change using easy math. You know, from the title: Predicting “record years” and climate change with easy math.

It's in the title: Predicting “record years” and climate change with easy math. I was just disputing the accuracy of the title.

Nope. Those are the imaginary climate scientists that live in your head. These are the ones that live in the real world. If you don't believe that there is climate change going on, then you must not go outside very often. We have been hitting record temperatures every year for the last decade.
