I know you're right, but I'm sticking with my version.

"Only the farmers film execs have won. They remain forever."

It's a weird mish mash of tone and the writing is … uneven to be kind. But Gleeson is in every scene, and he carries the movie, it's a stunning performance. He has amazing presence, he steals every scene in Kingdom of Heaven from some fairly big hitters as Reynald de Chatillon

Yeah, not a comics guy so wasn't familiar with the source material. It was quite striking visually and had a great cast. Seem to remember there being alot of criticism for the Keanu casting, but he did ok.

Brendan Gleeson. He's been excellent in small & large roles for twenty five years now and is only getting better. Calvary sealed it for me, it's a deeply flawed film, but he is magnetic, he carried it singlehanded.

Justified as the "colourful" judge, hilarious

Watched a bit of one of his early films (The New Land, thanks IMDB!) on TCM where he's a Swedish immigrant to the US. It was like watching God as a teenager, genuinely unsettling

Guinness BigMcLargeHuge? (That is a seriously awesome name)

Counterpoint: No. Did exactly the same, watched a bunch of movies he was in around the time of Things to do in Denver & yeessh, he was in some stinkers. I seem to remember a mafia film with Vincent Gallo that was particularly wretched.

There's literally twos of us who feel that way. I think the Hanks persona doesn't help, he's typecast in these modern Jimmy Stewart vehicles without the charm or edge that made those classics. In something like Private Ryan it works, but for the most part, know what you mean.

Jebus, by the standards of the dross I've seen this year, Constantine is not all that bad, at least there was some wit and thought involved

My days, that seems a bit convenient for Gibbs, one is unfortunate, two is careless. Am assuming Gibbs is a POI for those.

Blue Bloods has quite a strong cast, (apart from Donnie who I can't take seriously cos NKOTB), certainly better than the material. which is what it is. Selleck seems to have always been in (I assume well paid) trash. I have it in my head that he was in the running to be Indiana Jones, but wouldn't shave his ronnie,

I'm not sure how someone could not enjoy Charlie Pierce's writing, read his stuff on Grantland and it was love at first sight. Some good writers on Esquire, there was an amazing piece on El Chapo there a couple of weeks ago, best article I've read all year.

I watch Blue Bloods from time to time (God alone will judge me) and all he gets to do is look sad/irritated and take his glasses on and off. When they occasionally let him flirt with the ladies, there's a little glimpse of the old Selleck magic, but he's pretty much wasted.

Doesn't Gibbs have four or five ex-wives at this point? He was Sexiest Man Alive 1986, and I assume, retired undefeated. Has anyone checked on Gibbs whereabouts on the night?, the alimony on a gummnint paycheck must be crippling

That didn't end in a fireball after a shoot out with the ATF to protect their meth operation? Huh.

She won "Actress Most in Need of a New Agent" in 2009, 2010 & 2012 which I have never heard of, but delights me

Dude, you promised to wear clothes to the cinema. You promised!

What's a mailroom? Is that where they keep the emails that don't send?
