I kind of equate it to Famke Janssen playing Xenia Onatop. They were both models transitioning into acting and Famke proved a model can pull off acting and looking like somebody who could fucking kill you. Hopefully Gal can do the same.

But she's not "tall".

Ya, I don't get that critique. She was actually doing shit in that movie, more so than any Lois to date.

Waiting for some absolutely stiff acting?

DC squanders everything.

Acting isn't something you learn overnight, and this thing has what a 2015 release date? Ya, it's not something you can gloss over. Also Wonder Woman is an Amazon, she's gotta be tall. Carano is 5'8, not tiny but hardly Amazonian.

Maybe because the comic book nerds I know and am friends with are more refined but they were all ok with all of those choices. It's only when I come onto the internet where I read about all these assholes spewing all this garbage that I realize that maybe we're in the minority.

Maybe not but she's curvy naturally. This woman is thin as a rail, she'd have to bulk up if people were to take her seriously as Wonder Woman.

But you still run into the height problem. She's not tiny but she's still only 5'7, which while being above average is hardly how people view Wonder Woman.

Considering this episode was seen by almost 10 miliion viewers I'd say the chances of a 2nd season are pretty good.

Ever heard of the term a banana (yellow on the outside, white on the inside) in reference to an Asian? It's basically very similar to the whole acting black thing. It's usually used as an insult by asians criticizing another asian for in their eyes acting white. . My friend gets called this by his own family, which is

A lot of that comes from the African American community though, which is kinda sad. Two of my closest friends are black, who've time and again been called out (even if jokingly) by other black friends as being uncle tom's, for no other reason than they don't fit within the very strict definition of how a black man

I don't know about that. Harper's ideologically further right than Obama, though he is constrained somewhat with how far right he can take the country.

I don't know about that. Some of the conservatives, if they could get away with it, would be lock step in arms with the Tea Party.

The rest of Canada has already done a pretty good job at that, electing Fuhr Harper and all.

Could it be a joke about how Dan Savage isn't exactly a guy who is not judgemental?

Are we really that partisan around here that we'll decide to support a sexist douchebag over a guy who probably doesn't share the same political leanings as us?

You don't. They don't have Lieberstein or Kaling on staff.

Which is one and the same.

As long Schur has creative say in the show I don't think it would ever devolve into that sort of character assassinating mess.
