My complaint about FE is exactly that the only overtaking maneuvers seem to be dives up the inside but I think this is more to do with the (crappy) street circuit layouts than the car design. I recently swapped drives with a friend who got a 30th Anniversary. Ive driven (and raced) lots of Miatas in my time so I knew it was going to be good but I wasn’t prepared for just how damn good the ND (with the upgraded engine) is. It is nigh-on perfect, and the fact you can get this for less than $30k is the bargain…

Well the front fender, hood, and indicator lights are from a Longhood (pre-74) and the rest is G-body. It just doesn’t look right to my eyes - especially side-on.
