is it possible that this is some clever ruse to get us to absolutely slam the internet with buzz and commentary? and then revise the design significantly after a while, to even more internet commentary? I feel like this actually going to production the way it is, is impossible.

yea, i’m not surprised by that. I live on a state border, so dealers here have to sell out of state every single day. If you weren’t set up to do it, it would just be an unnecessary hoop in their perspective.

Is chevy being deliberately obtuse with their naming schemes? Like the bolt and the volt aren’t confusing enough, now we have the blazer and the trailblazer. what next? the chevy lazer?

your healthcare costs in the event of an accident with avoidable injuries are paid by everyone in the way of higher insurance premiums. unless you die straight away, then i guess we all win?

no one has figured out how to give a vehicle with aerodynamics like that any decent range.

every time i see one, it looks like one corner of the vehicle is lower than the rest.

a $3000 car in decent condition is probably over 15 years old. the honda civics of today are bigger than the accords of 20 years ago. look, i’m not saying you can’t put child seats in older cars. people do it every day. but it gets more complicated and most people probably don’t know how to properly install a car seat

I feel like the first gen (2001-2008) chevy trailbrazer is the exact same scenario. It always has random body damage and a bit of a limp.

eh, its called product liability insurance. insurance companies already sell it.

this will be the dystopian hellscape.

it is absolutely true that most people spend too much on their cars. but it is also true that most people aren’t qualified to find a good deal on a car that costs less than $3000. its just as likely to be a money pit as a good buy.

i personally think it just shows rich people being completely out of touch with reality. i don’t think that person writing the article knows what daily driving a 3k car really entails. like, are you going to get fired for being late to work due to breakdowns? when does it make sense to stop repairing a 3k car? what if

I have 33 inch tires on my jeep...but 17 inch wheels

also RE: tesla: another car that is kind of a bad fit for an older audience. but could be balanced out by the fervor of their fans who may tend to self report greatness in droves. so inconclusive on that one. ironically, i’m a model 3 driver and consumer reports subscriber, but who has time to fill out a 50 page

i have several working theories on these results based on that:

I subscribe to consumer reports and there is a lot of good info, but its important to remember that a self selected self reporting survey like this annual reliability survey will always suffer from selection bias. it says more about the kind of people that subscribe to consumer reports and are willing to fill out a 50

Chrysler—which only sells two cars these days

what if it ends up being faster to 60 than a normal mustang?

I come here for this content. I’m actually surprised at the 7k number. assuming no hidden defects uncovered in an inspection, i would have assumed 10k would have a buyer.

a ford electric crossover using mustang badges? Weird Flex, but ok.
