the driver hit a stationary tow truck at a high rate of speed, suffered a broken leg. His two children in the back had no injuries. they all exited the vehicle well before it caught fire. sounds like a win to me.

yea, but the score from yesterday shapes the game tomorrow
a really good plug in hybrid would be perfect for my usage. right now I have a model 3 and when i travel to rural areas it does cause me to compromise in detours to superchargers. if someone made a really good plug in hybrid that allows for short electric trips, but still allowing for convenient road tripping, I’d be…
no
its really common
most people don’t even wear seatbelts in their uber, that would probably be the first company policy to tackle before worrying about some freak recall accident.
last time I was in a cab, it was an old crown vic, the brakes were grinding and it sounded like the shocks were bottoming out.
so many open recalls don’t even have an available fix. its going to be more complicated than just looking to see what vehicles have open recalls. My wife’s old car had an open recall for over a year before we sold it. there was still no fix available at the time of sale.
TIL only poor people buy used luxury vehicles
literally what i was about to say. you run this thing for 1 year and its worth it, assuming you don’t have to put brakes and tires on it. my luck, I would drive it for one great year, do brakes and tires all around and it would immediately suffer a catastrophic failure.
locally/regionally thats not true for me, but that is interesting. seems like tesla has stagnated on the supercharger expansion too
its a tax credit, so if you owe less then $7500 you get the difference as a refund. unless you are saying you don’t file any tax return, good luck with that.
Does the removable top still work properly? My understand is that is the Achilles heel of the envoy and they don’t make that part anymore. If so, good work
That’s fantastic. I wish I could get that giraffe Renault graphic as a t shirt or poster
several factors that sales should push more that is fantastic about electric cars:
1. hate waiting for the car to warm up before you get heat? you get heat in seconds. AC works faster too
depends on how many miles you drive, and if gas gets more expensive. if you drive a ton of miles, it makes more sense. for the time being, the leaf still qualifies for the full $7500 tax credit also.
tesla recently started selling a fast charging CHAdeMO adapter for all their cars. To me that could signify a shift. in the US, CHAdeMO is the most common fast charger that isn’t the tesla supercharger (correct me if i’m wrong)
its a rarity for sure. walgreens has had pressure to do the same, but they have not changed.
good point
this is an odd take, because wasn’t trump’s strategy to harm china’s economy? it seems to be working. it just also happens to be a fact that this could harm American firms selling things to china. so tying jalopnik to anything you perceive as anti trump fits your narrative apparently.
