Old ladies who are probably completely freaked out that a younger generation of women are voting for a dude who is almost definitely unelectable and could result in a lost election and therefore a bunch of republican nominations to SCOTUS, potentially resulting in the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

Yeah, guys, I’m not calling for a White Entertainment Network or a Men’s History Month, OR a straight pride parade, so what’s going on with your shit, guys?

THIS. My least favorite part of teaching was the parents. I can’t give EVERY kid the lead role in the school play. And, your kid has to actually show up to class occasionally to get a part. No, I’m not a racist for not casting your daughter as the princess, your daughter is NEVER HERE.

“I want to haunt my children!”

10/10, would emoticon again

and the award for best use of an emoticon goes to.... ELLIE!

I heard that helicoptering is getting worse these days too.

Just wait a second. I’m sure they’ll tell you.

As a confused Canadian... Why do Bernie supporters seem to hate Hillary even more than they hate the Republicans?

#ImWithHer

I felt the same way, taught HS seven years and loved the teaching part, but kinda always wondered if we all secretly hated parents or if that was just me. And good god can they talk for a long time. My favorites were always the, “can you just call me and let me know when s/he has homework?” Uh, that’ll be a negative,

Yeah - ‘tis the worst part of collegia - the instutionalized joylessness - that is expected and required, because there is such a thing as letting the ‘scientific method paradigm’ modify personality. ;)

It’s so tragic that in this culture, joy + enthusiasm are supposed to be *entirely removed* (in the name of false maturity and “coolness) - when they’re what makes life worth living.

Normally I’m sad we don’t have a PTA. Sometimes, just sometimes though.

I work as a therapist with preschoolers and I stopped becasue of the same thing. The kids were wonderful. Wealthy and celebrity parents were not. They completely burnt me out.

Not in the near future. My 8 year old qualified for the regional science fair this weekend, and when I emailed to confirm the meeting time I was told she can’t go, because she’s missing some paperwork.

Smiling at “brain joy.”

I’m in the PTA to combat the fact that people at my kids’ schools are apparently willing to believe my ex’s new wife when she says she’s their mom. So I thought I’d make an effort and be PTA. Those people are all bitches and the PTA is of the devil. Also of the devil: school picture day and book fair. You don’t know

I wish some of my college students would attempt to act a little more mature.
