Oh hell. My friends who teach languages and have a lot of quizzes have more issues with immature students. I think because the nature of those classes is more like high school, maybe? But I'm lucky because I get them sitting around a seminar table, discussing The Literature. Way out of their comfort zone.

Ha, same! I’m TAing now and my students are pretty wonderful but there’s a certain chaotic energy mixed with wonder and awe that you rarely find in a college classroom.
