yeah, that's part of what made it so haunting

exactly. the cash version would work better for a series finale because it would have been earned and it worked have worked better tonally

i agree. i don't personally think that women are ok with men doing dumb sh*t as long as they're treated like queens on a throne. i think that people use the genders are different line like some kind of stupid reverse psychology. Just because we're not calling women whores doesn't mean that we should go to the opposite

i think people here are giving northerners a lot more credit than they deserve when it comes to social liberalism. I listen to a lot of new york based (generally liberal) podcasts and i have heard pretty conservative views on everything from breastfeeding to gay marriage. that line about how the genders are different

i cast that down with fire.

mad max: fury road has already taught us that if you see a beautiful woman stranded in [insert ominous location] you should not stop to collect, just go.

i thought for a second jerry had summer when he called her assface (ooh, parents cursing) until she turned the dumb rhetorical question back on jerry

i actually busted out laughing when "Feel Good" was first played during this episode. The music choices often feel completely out of left field but it honestly makes it funnier because it's this show. It would feel tonally deaf or trite if any other show took the same music risks (which they wouldn't).

Yes!

penis made of science. that is all.

PFLAG

I found the drumming distracting too. I thought it would have been interesting if the drummer had shown up in random locations all throughout the movie to emphasize how Keaton was losing his mind.

there's a couple dropped lines in S4E1 about men dancing; hopefully it's a hint for more dancing to come

that's the joke i was trying to remember. it was really funny but for some reason i was shocked he got it so wrong. i'm probably used to giving him more leeway in the past when he was being offensive around mindy or his co-workers because they let him get away with it. i assumed he'd turn it around when he was around

i thought so but the holiday party dress was green. guess it was that good a dress.

no arguments here. he just needed a tv program to showcase that side of him for once

much as i love every number that robert was in tonight, i started to get uncomfortable with the easy way that all the girls were talking about how much of a stud he was and how they were looking for any opportunity to hold/kiss him. i can't help it; every time i see a situation like that i imagine what it would look

to be fair, as much as i LOVED the dance number between travis and jenna dewan-tatum, i felt a little robbed that that number wasn't travis dancing with another man. it just felt like the perfect opportunity to do that, esp since travis choreographed it

the latest sytycd review tackles this issue in more depth but i see your point in regards to the performances in the finale. i really relly loved the intensity/technical mastery of alex and jim's dance, but i couldn't help wondering how much more i might have liked it if they had played lovers instead of father and

No one has mentioned yet how BBT's Raj was looking in this episode. I knew he'd clean up very well if given the chance (kinda makes me sad that he's always played as such a spacey stereotypical Indian nerd on BBT). MP has this great weird talent for making guys who are known as awkward nerds in other shows look hot
