Ugh. He’s such a hack.
“He appeared on several addiction-based reality shows with Dr. Drew Pinsky: Celebrity Rehab 1, Celebrity Rehab 2, Sober House 1, and Sober House 2.”
:(
“Scary how easy cultural erasure has become.”
They’ve been doing better lately.
They were worth loads because the owners knew they could use them to manipulate the public. When readership went down, their ability to do that diminished as well, and they found better ways.
This should be a crime. I’m still in mourning over the disappearance of Television Without Pity recaps. It was archived on Brilliant But Cancelled, but that’s gone now too. I never looked at the MTV news site, but I can bet there was a lot on there that people will miss. I know hosting a website cost money so I…
And haven’t we all wanted to kill door-to-door salespeople who knock at the worst times and wake your babies and make your dogs go crazy, even though you live in a no soliciting neighborhood? So who’s really the villain in this movie?
How was Top Gun left off this list?
I don’t think it’s different at all. Swifties are quick to point out how successful she is and how many shows she’s sold out an how much money she has and how many records she’s sold.
Meh, he was making a play on the concert name.
Or it could just be a stream of consciousness thing. “We make a lot of errors...because we play live...” I’m not saying it’s unreasonable to think he was talking about Swift. I just don’t think it’s unreasonable to think he wasn’t either.
“and a movie you’ve probably (hopefully!) never seen called Soul Man”
Yeah but it doesn’t make it necessarily a contrast to Taylor Swift. Just a contrast to people who don’t play live.
You could say the same thing about trump supporters. America loves an underdog, so when they love someone, they have to turn them into an underdog.
I was thinking the same. I think it could be fairly interpreted either way, but given their friendly relationship I think the more reasonable interpretation is that he was placing his band opposite bands who do not play live, not necessarily that Taylor is among those.
LOL I mean that wouldn’t be funny but this is a funny comment.
I see the list of people he’s thanking, but I also don’t see any news about David Oyelowo, for instance, doing anything in effort to rehabilitate Jonathan Majors’s image or saying anything about him at all. So just because he listed them doesn’t mean they’ve done anything. Were any of these people he thanked, besides…
Are you? Because you said “place,” so is it the place, or is it the people in the entertainment industry? And you really think they are the only/most guilty of this sort of behavior?
