I wish I had more than one star to give you.

More importantly, do you have leftovers? I’m sitting here in traffic waiting for the Hawthorne bridge to go down, reading this didn’t make my forgetting to bring a lunch today any easier.
Unless you have out of state plates, in which case you’re pulled over and searched/questioned for transporting drugs.
The second part of what you mentioned is the problem I have. I routinely read an article earlier, then come back to see how the comments have developed. It used to be easy to head to the bottom of the page for the comments, but now that takes me to another article. However, I did find that by clicking on the…
Have you had a bad experience with them? I switched to their nylon braided cables after going through Apple and Amazon cables and I’ve been thrilled with them so far. Been using them for about a year, give or take.

Oh yeah, I kind of missed my final point. They have the money.
Portland Transportation Budget is 9.4% of the city’s entire budget. Specifically for transportation, the budget is $393 million, which includes an allocation of 21.3% ($83.7 million) for maintenance.
I’m thinking of a situation where the material used to fill the hole binds together, but not the existing road, then becomes a type of projectile as a bus or something drives over it, even just getting loose and being a hazard in the road.
As someone who drives in Portland, I’m not OK with this. While it might seem fine that they’re helping the situation, the repairs need to be done by people who are ultimately paid to do so. Moreover, when the City/State/County does it, the workers are trained and responsible... I would argue more so than an…
Ditto for me. I didn’t have the Trailhawk but I had a Limited. Went through two that got lemon law’d. Now I avoid Chrysler product and their 9-speed transmission like the plague. I also take the bus now :-(
I had 2 Cherokees lemon-law’d because they couldn’t fix problems with the transmission. After that, I gave up. I take public transit, now.
I laughed, and then remembered that earlier this week I saw someone out of my office window dressed as a ninja walking down the street swinging a sharpened tree branch... so yeah, normal Portland stuff.
The question was asked to Portland Bureau of Transportation on Twitter and it turns out the city has 44 snow plows. 44! Astonishing considering I’ve had chains on my car for a straight week now.
Now’s probably a good of a time as any to ask - what is the regular frequency of washing sheets? I once worked with someone who had 2-3 different sheet sets so she could facilitate washing sheets 3 times a week. That seems excessive, but on the other end... is every other week going too far on the spectrum?
The 500e was only sold new in California and Oregon, but it looks like used they’ve managed to get all over. I found a bunch in Florida by ordering my search by furthest away from Portland.
I came here after reading the title with my first thought being “oh man, these comments are going to be delightful to read... how long until a fight breaks out?” I was not disappointed. Thanks for making my day, commenters!
I was driving on I-35 from Ames to Des Moines in a moderately heavy snowstorm (at least, for Iowa standards). The road was almost completely deserted, and the opposite direction northbound appeared to have been completely closed. Normally a 2 lane highway, there was 1 single drive-able lane that wasn’t covered in 4+…
Ha, fair enough.
You don’t even really have to be rural. I live in Portland and a quick drive west to Hillsboro gets me in plenty of areas with farms that sell milk and eggs.
