I spent two weeks in Korea last summer and got serious Yakuza vibes.

Beers with friends in three corner store followed by Bulgogi sounds so perfect!

Is there no one left in entertainment that isn’t a ginormo-gantuan piece of shit?

Being disliked because of your personality, views and actions isn’t cancel culture, it’s just people not liking you or your work. It’s a part of the package deal of making something to entertain people. There’s is a chance you suck so much that people don’t like your work anymore. That’s just consequences.

I think Ubisoft’s problem is they keep coming out with games where you play as rebels or anarchists going up against “the man” or “the system” whilst you’re playing a game that’ll charge you half of the game’s price for a cosmetic item.

It’s the reason I told the dealership to take off their branding from my car as I was driving it off the lot. Unless we’re in some sort of media partnership where you pay me to advertise, no thanks.

Microsoft’s quality control on these gamepads makes a raging dumpster fire seem like a quaint birthday candle. I’ve been through half a dozen Elites and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM has had major issues. I love the feel of the things, but they are so unreliable it’s incredible.

Weird. I bought one the day it came out and have not had a single issue with it. Now my stock ps5 controller? Yikes....

They don’t have much of a choice but to go in that direction. They are reaching the limits of current cooling techniques at the high end power draw (4090 Ti cancellation)

Hot Take: I think Kazama Kiryu could surpass James Bond in popularity for a certain group if they play their cards right. He can go anywhere and do anything. I, for one, will follow this franchise anywhere.

Is he any more than advertisement for them? I’d guess he’s getting paid rather than has any actual financial risk, despite what they seem to want to give as an impression... looking at the founders, he seems out of place. “15 years experience in aaa“ vs “top 5 influencer”, “4mil youtube subscibers”, “12+ million

Wow...how incredibly harsh.

“The Marc Maron of game podcasts.” I can totally see this being the case!

It’s weird that Ryckert would come back if that were true. I think it’s weird he came back anyway.

I think you’re right. I’ve seen this happen before, happened to me a few times. You quit and give notice, but the execs want you out of the door immediately. I assume he probably said he wanted to do his own thing, the company views it as him now potentially eating into revenue and got him out of there before he

I found it “good” too. Not as great as previous games but still adequate. My opinion might be skewed though because some of the developers are former colleagues of mine.

Also, and I know I’m pretty alone here, but I didn’t hate Thief 2014. It wasn’t stellar, all the previous games were better, and you know, Dishonored exists. But I stuck with it until the end and wouldn’t mind an improved take coming back again.

I also didn’t hate Thief, it was a totally adequate C average game for me. Played it all the way through, which is more than I can say for most games I start.

Is it too much to ask for both and run them together in the same campaign?

Spelljammer is prog rock incarnate.
