You’d erase the meaning it has now and appropriate it when calling your hair ethnic. Your hair is now ethnic and what was called ethnic hair until now needs to find its own term.

I’m pretty sure this place wouldn’t specialize in “ethnic hair” if it was catering to white Norwegian women, so that should be a big clue why “ethnic” is used in a very different context than for example that wikipedia page explaining ethnicity.
