Totally. It wasn’t a narrative of “trans issues are so important and I want to be a voice for that”. It was about “Oh, look! Bruce Jenner is turning into Caitlyn. Are you ready for this drama?” And you could argue that the tabloids/media turned it into that but, in the end, that’s what she was looking for.

I was surprised, too, that it’s the actual title. I really thought she was just being snarky about the inauguration.

Yeah, a few people on here have pointed that out. For some reason, up until the election, they chose to neutralize her character, making her seem like Trump’s weary, put-upon campaign manager. In a couple of more recent episodes, Kate portrays her in a way that’s closer to her actual vileness.

Seth has been going in pretty hard since the debates or so, maybe even earlier. As in Jon Stewart or Colbert levels of no-bullshit/snark. It’s a pleasant surprise. I guess all of that Weekend Update training paid off.

Elizabeth Taylor is my Old Hollywood queen. The only actress from that era that I love more is Hepburn. So, I’m really taking it quite personally that there have been not one but two god-awful movies about her since she’s passed.

I actually loved Natalie in Black Swan but yes, Mila’s performance in that film was great and underrated. I think the contrast in their acting styles worked perfectly for the film because it was the actual performance styles of their characters.

They should be commended, as they require a lot of concentration.
