Looks boring.
Looks boring.
Because there’s a vast ocean of indie game releases these days with wildly creative visual styles. So straight up aping another game screams to me that they lack imagination. Nobody is saying they can’t do this, just that they probably shouldn’t.
I think there is a difference from copying art styles and using it as inspiration and building from it. Mysplaced looks like it didn’t bring anything new to the table. Like how movie production companies make movies with public domain stories (Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, etc) to ride off the success of Disney.…
I’ve found that political discussions over the internet don’t really go anywhere. Nobody is willing to concede on any point and neutrality is viewed as a sin. If you just want to get angry and insult people, though, it works out pretty well.
I’ve been called “garbage” for suggesting name calling is wrong. Seriously. I’m Mr. Goodie Two Shoes doesn’t even use profanity liberal and that’s offensively far right for some of these people. I’m at a complete loss.
“Basic morality.” There’s nothing basic about morality. Its inherently subjective nature is why politics exist in the first place. Different people have different priorities based on their own circumstances. To many conservatives, protecting a fetus is more important than protecting its mother.
As a general rule, you’re supposed to avoid discussing political topics in the workplace, even if you know the majority of your coworkers share your views.
“Jump on”? GMG fancies itself the locomotive. (They’re not. They’re the toy train belonging to the kid riding in coach.)
It’s a really good build. I think they just want to jump on the “Musk bad” train
This is a reach, that’s a perfectly OK build. It is actually very cool and fun to run an int/dex build where you adjust towards mageiness or slashiness as necessary.
“Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with the fatal shooting of two men in August 2020, when he fired at unarmed protestors during civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin” That’s not really what actually happened, though. He got chased by Joseph Rosenbaum who tried to take his gun, and he fired on him in a panic to try and stop…
The summer when Overwatch originally released was an absolutely amazing time in games. Really felt like the last time everyone had come together to get into a multiplayer game. Doubt they can capture that again with a sequel.
Totally agree. I have been gaming for 40+ years and always thought games like OW is out of my league, but I had so much fun for the better part of two years with the game on-and-off.
It’s a shame so much has happened around Blizzard and OW2 to dampen this release. The original is one of my most beloved gaming experiences in my 38 years of playing. I remember not knowing what it was and being pleasantly surprised at the time that the demo was pretty much the entire game. I spent the weekend playing…
NFT’s are a fucking scam, but all incorrectly defining them as “infinitely duplicable jpeg images” does it make it easier for the people who are doing this to argue against you since they can just (rightly) claim that you don’t know what you are talking about.
To be fair, if you look at the financials for the studios they’re selling, they are barely keeping their heads above water. Eidos Montreal had revenue of nearly $100m in FY 22 but their net profit after expenses was around $650k. Crystal Dynamics fared slightly better, but cost about as much to run and their profit…
my group loved overwatch in it’s prime. we all have 1000+ hours on our accounts. we stopped playing about 2 years ago when there weren’t any more real updates. we all got our beta keys (we all had to watch twitch for 4 hours, none of us got opted in) and then wait 2-3 more hours for it to show up in our accounts. we…
I think its safe to say the userbase for this site range from disinterest to active disdain regarding accounting.
There’s only so many ways they can profit off the parasocial lifeblood of the community. They’re going to serve people ads one way or the other, and they’re going to use incentives to get streamers on board. The writing has been all over the wall in neon ink the moment Twitch started serving mid-roll ads.
