I would argue that Janeway is his friend as well.

I understood it to be a younger Q than the season 2 Q.  Millions of years may have passed for him between his appearance in S3 and subsequent appearance is S2.

No worries. I just find potential alternative Trek history fascinating. Like Phase II. Very interesting stuff.

Despite your unnecessary taunts, I will continue to respond in a civil manner. If you proceed with taunts and jibes, I will cease continuing to respond.

I’d love to see this concept art.  Any links?

Same.  Though I did appreciate season 3 cleaning up season 1's mess.  Particularly with Picard saying that he was dying alone in his vineyard, as well as the swipe it took at Riker and Troi living in a rustic cabin.

Uhg.  This comment section is rife with people trying to rationalize bad writing.

I love this take.  But then I want a Gort.

I do not think copyright will last. At least not as we know it now. Google is betting big on AI and if that means pissing off copyright holders, I think they are prepared to do that.

Humans are an animal. I compare humans to other animals. Like noted biologist E.O. Wislon, I find humanity to be a dismal failure in regards to living in balance with the environment.

I’m agnostic leaning atheist, actually. And we disagree. Which is fine. I don’t think humanity is all that great. If, through AI intervention, we end up as the Eloi as described in H.G. Well’s The Time Machine, I find that far more preferable to current conditions.

Ha!  Here’s hoping someone develops a real-life Chibi-Robo to stop them.

I too have my own AI Language Model.

Truth.

I am not in favor of the military’s involvement in this matter, but I do concur that a global pause is unlikely. Therefore, it is crucial to establish a robust regulatory framework for AI at the earliest opportunity. This will enable us to utilize AI for monitoring and neutralizing any emerging AI systems designed

I draft my text and use GPT-4 for revisions, enhancing clarity, grammar, and spelling. Although GPT-4's output requires adjustments to match my writing style, it has improved my writing clarity and brevity. By comparing revisions, I’ve become more thoughtful in my responses and interactions online. GPT-4 has also

Damn, son, that is Oscar-Wilde levels of word play right there!

Thanks!  I really appreciate your suggestions.  They sound like a lot of fun.  I’ll check them out!

I share your concerns. However, proceeding from the position that AI development is unlikely to be halted, I am supporting OpenAI as they are overseen by a non-profit board. OpenAI began development as a response to corporate driven AI. I also think regulations need to be put in place to ensure AI benefits humanity.

I acknowledge that some of the concepts I mentioned border on science-fiction, but I maintain that they remain within the realm of possibility.

Concerning climate change, I believe AI has the potential to create technologies that mitigate or even eradicate the most severe consequences, such as enhancing carbon capture
