Conference room, not board room. It’s a Federation ship not a Ferengi ship.

So, basically the Chuck Dixon era?  I agree whole-heartedly, even though I’ve heard Dixon went down the alt-right rabbit hole.

Tim for life.  Damian sucks guano.

Hopefully one day they’ll add it to Disneyland or Florida will decide to overthrow its fascist government.  I suspect the former will happen before the latter, but one can hope!

I kind of enjoyed it in a weirdly nostalgic straight-to-dvd kind of way.  Not sure I could handle two hours of it.  But the trailer was fun.

I’ll happily join you in the minority.  No desire to see this.  At.  All.

Tempting.  But still not enough of a reason to set foot in the fascist dictatorship of Florida.

1. It’s too late. There is no going back no matter the risks. We can work to manage those risks by putting in a regulatory framework, but people that think we are going to be going back to pre-AI days are deluding themselves.

2. The fact that Elon Musk signed that letter deligitamizes it in many peoples’ minds. They

Who could’ve seen this coming? For several reasons:

Thanks, James!  Nice breakdown. When the trailer dropped on io9, Justin Carter said that the real villain is the Inheritors.  But I didn’t see them in the trailer, and I’m not seeing them here, so I’m wondering where he got that from (other than assuming they would be the villains because of the source material).

I think you’d make a good movie critic!  One that I could rely on for good reviews!

Congrats on being the outlier!

Some modern takes on Batman have a few hints of fascism. He’s a bit authoritarian, keeping an eye on everyone in Gotham, using a kind of populist image to assert authority, being okay with some morally iffy stuff for the greater good, and a kind of localized nationalism in regards to Gotham, as well as using

Excellent observation! I must concede they need to fill seats with folks that aren’t just comic nerds like us.

Kind of wish they kept it the same as the comic in which only Jaime understood what the scarab was saying.  But I do like they are including the Ted Kord stuff.  And Batman is a bit of a fascist these days, isn’t he?

Thank you for the informative article!

It’s like you read my mind.
