While it would be great to have new and unexpected talent direct FF4, my mind also went directly to Peyton Reed. Beside the Ant-Man films he directed the Mandalorian season 2 finale. Meaning, not just Dark Troopers and Luke, but the whole Mando saying goodbye to Grogu scene. He’s a proven hand at humor, action, and

I 100% want a 60s retro futuristic Fantastic 4 movie

Just like everything else, it’s all about making money, period.

Hey, best case scenario he just killed Twitter.

Watch out! You’re going to get inundated with crypto bro greys yelling that he’s “African American.”

I’m betting in 4 or 5 years they will actually reboot the original series with Kirk and I’m surprisingly okay with that.

It’s neither. Number One is his First Officer and second-in-command. Spock is Science Officer. Kirk is presumably a Lieutenant or possibly a Commander on the USS Farragut at this point in the narrative.

I’m glad that this is coming out. I hope it is successful. I’d like to see Scott Derrickson return to Marvel to direct something. I’d like Sam Raimi to come back, too. Other characters who need to be seen eventually from the supernatural corridors of Marvel: (Blade is on the way, of course).

Are you referring to the following from the article?

Same. I hope it’s as gonzo and weird as its pedigree implies.

I haven’t been this excited for an MCU film since Endgame.
