Basically it’s an argument about what is more important: A human’s livelihood or a multi-million dollar corporation’s image. I see you’ve sided with the multi-million dollar corporation. I hope your copy of “Atlas Shrugged” keeps you warm on those long, cold, lonely nights.

Still not getting it, huh? Not shocking.

Did a touch a nerve? Doesn’t sound like much of a brush-off to me. You sound really angry. Or petulant. Probably a bit more on the petulant side if I’m being honest.

And calling someone an idiot qualifies as discourse. People who break the rules should be punished. Right? Figure it out.

So what you’re saying is corporations are more important than people? Did I get that right?

Yeah, I realize the comparison was on the extreme side. Never-the-less, as you said “the guy just goofed” which shouldn’t be a fireable offense.

Fair enough. But I still think that Nintendo sucks for doing it and workers’ rights need to be protected.

Having been a union worker I can attest to the fact that you can pretty much say whatever the hell you want and not worry about repercussions. The worst he would’ve gotten was a reprimand.

Pull that one from your “Zingers” Word Doc you use to defend your specious arguments? If you can’t see the point I was making, typing it in mono-syllabic words isn’t worth my time.

Or, to use an extreme example: Pull a Snowden and do what’s right without waiting for the laws to change, because it is ethically unforgivable to do nothing.

“No pity for self-inflicted wounds”? Isn’t that the title of a System of a Down album?
I’m glad you’ve never made a trivial decision in your life that resulted in not being able to support your family. Enjoy that.

You said it far better than I could.

Corporations aren’t oncoming traffic. There are laws in place to determine the limits of their power. These laws can be changed. Protecting workers’ rights is more important than an NDAs and corporate image.

Um, no. In fact this case disproves your point. Nintendo is getting a lot of bad press it could have avoided if it didn’t fire this guy.

Well said.

So what? Doesn’t make it right.

Not every single place on Earth. There are these things called unions that protect workers from corporate dictatorship.

So what?

My friend is a union worker. She can talk about her employer all day long without worrying about being terminated. If Nintendo was a union shop, I guarantee he wouldn’t have gotten fired.
