True, but absent anything being made explicit, I’m not going to give them benefits of the doubt here, and especially not when games are already announced - from large, established publishers - and then become exclusive. What’s more, the way that EGS does curation means that the sort of devs who could really use that

It’s the present. No one should be forced to use what they find to be a less competent process to play a game, and no consumer should have to wait for parity before comparing between competitors.

There was an article recently about steam keys and how on average only 70% of games on steam are sold thorugh steam. The rest get to use steams platform and infrastructure for free without handing Valve 30%. So id take these numbers with a grain of salt and chill. Publishers arent going to the epic store for the low

Features can be worked on, but they’re missing now, and there is no reason why someone should be happy to be forced to use a less competent process if they want to play a game at the moment. It’s the present, not the future.

It is a problem, because it makes it harder to play games with friends when you split the

Most of that extra money is going to the publishers, if you think a significant portion of that is making it to the developers then that is a larger economic debate.

They aren’t getting 18% more of my money, they’ll get 100% less. I dont care if they put their game on other platforms, the moment they rip their game off Steam and crap on their consumer base means I wont be purchasing from them anymore. If I want to support them on Epic, thats my choice. They dont get to force me

I hate any/all developers and publishers that push for heavy microtransactions and exclusives as “competition”, at loss of useful features in launcher or on game related site, done for cost and controversy reasons.

That sounds like trickle down economics stuff, which has historically be pretty useless.

There is zero benefit to the customer when Epic nabs an exclusive for themselves, and several tangible negatives. It’s pretty straightforward to understand, and so thank you for this breakdown.

That’s definitely what Mark would be doing.

I clicked four different Tweets under the assumption I would get to hear a few seconds of Say No More, Mon Amour. They were all gifs. I’m not down for this weak shit on Rex Manning Day.

Two smart-aleck zombies wandering around making racially inappropriate jokes? I’m not interested. Zombie Garrett Morris? Count me in!

Possibly the single most overrated act in music history.

I’m so zombied-out, thanks to the disappointment that was years of investment into The Walking Dead before I dropped it a couple of seasons ago, that at this point it’s affecting me across the board on all media.

Considering the flat our awful job the original show has done with young adult actors this has ‘shit-show cash-grab’ written all over it.

Yes. Stop watching. For real.

Yes.  Stop watching.  For real.

Milk The Walking Dead.

I’m an overweight dude and I can do it. Granted, not all at once lol.
