Fred is about to get the short end of the stick. In the epilogue of the book, they confirm he gets got in one of the "purges" at the start of the regime. I believe there was even some dialogue by the commander referencing the purge, although he was too arrogant to think his neck might be on the line at that point.

So…

this is probably how emily comes back next season. what is dead may never die.

my only negative of this season is that jill had the tiniest of cameos. also i want nora's house. terrific season. sad to see it go.
