I don't think I've ever seen her "act". Below the radar to say the least. But I did a search after reading your comment, and she seems to be fighting a good fight!

And that's one cool piece of kit, too!

Hollywood lawyers, justifying their existence from day one, because it sure beats earning a living...

I am so thankful that you posted. So many fortunate people talk about their own skills, super-human hard work, and special snowflake-ism; and then they rub your face in the self-worshiping fiction they've written for themselves...

I've always been a "radio" guy. Morning news, afternoon "drive-time", bed-time chill-out, week-ends during chores... And internet radio/podcasts are my "radio" now.

I've been using winamp for internet radio, podcasts, and my own music collection. Super old-school, I know, but I've just always liked it. Of course, that means I'm using a host of other apps and sites for other things...

Ha!

Seriously, amigo. I LOVE Adam Weinstein because he's a Marine first, a political writer second. No shitty back-story, no dishonorable discharge; just an honest-to-God Warrior-poet who cares about the corps, the country, and the world, and is using his talents and passions to do something about it. An honorable

There's lots of honorable servicemen with our views. Hell, just look at Adam Weinstein- he's a poster-boy for "Intelligent and Compassionate Warrior-poet"!

Ah, c'mon man. I only mentioned my lefty status so that Tyler would know that people on both sides really love his articles. I try to save the political stuff for Fortress America...

I was raised a "fighter", but I yearn for the whole "peace on Earth; goodwill toward men" fantasy for my kids' future.

Well said, PFC. Many Priests, shamans, and general lefties would disagree with me, but when humans are involved, we'll always need intelligent, honorable (and well- equipped and supported) warriors. Period.

I was raised by a Marine, but I lean farther left the older I get. I'm a raging lefty, more or less, and probably even leaning toward total pacifist... So I'm perhaps not your target audience?

Well, this particular article seems in io9's wheelhouse; I wouldn't be surprised if they pick it up today.

Really great article; lucid , intriguing, and informative. I just stumbled onto your stuff (now following), but I really think someone over at io9 should share this particular post.

Damn, Drew- I believe this is the first time I've stumbled upon your writings. Loved it!

Aaannnd yet another random thing that the Brits have a better word for! Love it.

Well, damn. Every so often I say to myself "hey, let's see what Albert has been writing about lately..." And every time, every damn time, I end up cooking 2-4 things.

It's awesome.

I am seconding this question! I've been using Panda based on a recommendation I saw here a while ago, and I'm happy- but I take the opinions of the writers and participants here pretty seriously. Time to ditch Panda?
