Whether you’re talking about their 70s raw-edged days, 80s glory days, 90s jugernaut days, their 21st century days of re-discovering their own back-catalog, or just their entire career in general, AC/DC is a bone fide rock and roll icon.
... it’s a bitchin’ club, cheap cover, good pours, and a slammin’ sound system, and this hot new band “Tryanglz” is playing tonight” said a doomed fictional character about a doomed fictional band at a doomed fictional club in 1984.
Movies need music, they’ve been the “Opera” of the common citizen for nearly a century. Even non-music-fans might sorely miss the music in their favorite films. But in the early film era, that meant a pianist or organist or often a full orchestra was employed by the venue to provide this important ingredient.
I learned one very important rule this week.. A professional blogger who no doubt is not only more “woke” than I am, but likely much more educated, had this to say:
This is a bit of a throwback; a 2002 release of a 1979/80 television score. But it’s a really interesting “forgotten” soundtrack that I discovered this week, so here ya go!
So recently, my favorite sc-fi blog did an announcement about a new sci-fi show... The whole article was a junior-high school-level snark-fest about how the show’s title was similar to another show’s title. No big deal, just a throw-away little article like on so very many other similar blogs...

There are a handful of great film music radio stations, and there are quite a few cool radio shows and podcasts, old and new. But Cinematic Sound Radio is the best long-form English language show, and by a very wide margin.
Or, it’s a sentient re-animated meat product that IS a crimefighter? I’m not sure, you’ll have to ask Four Finger Wu. I know nothing. As a matter of fact, I’m about to prove I’m an idiot...
I avoided the Multiplex more this year than just about any summer in my life, because of lack of interest combined with bad reviews. BUT- I’ve been rocking the scores of some of 2016 weakest films on the ol’ Hi-Fi, and I’m loving them! Perhaps the fact that I didn’t see the movies helps in this regard...
Presented without comment, to make your Monday morning extra-special.
