I'm not crazy about the white. It looks a lot like an old iMac.

What is the general process for determining successive values of pi? I assume you do not need to store and calculate from the entire value? Why can't someone with a few hours of supercomputer time just bust out to the quintillionth digit and hold the homebrew hackers at bay for a few years?

@Google: Privacy is Job 1: While the $30 retail price of the bumper is really EXORBITANT, the bumper is more than a just a shaped livestrong bracelet. It's got discrete button extensions, and from what I can tell is made with two different materials that are tightly bonded together (a hard plastic body and soft,

Release notes seem substantially similar to beta2; maybe a couple of gamecenter changes?

@CaptainJack: I don't know about the slot in the side, but I was also thinking it's just a stylized remote control. If only the website were in English :)

Is that really a dock, or a music player with an ipod-esque remote control?

@38thsignal: Ah, my bad. Hope you're able to get a better rate if you do end up needing more data!

@38thsignal: Obviously, if you're on a 250MB/mo plan and using 4GB, you obviously selected the wrong plan for that month. Are you saying you had no option for switching to a better plan for that month?

@dallasmay: "In a month, I use about 300 minutes of talk time, and about 400 megabytes. That would bring me to average your $70/month."

@dallasmay: $100 per gigabyte? Are you serious? I'm paying ~$70 a month for data AND voice, and the data is unlimited (well, some amorphous amount greater than 2GB/month). Why would I, or anyone on a 2GB plan, want a tremendously more expensive, more limiting cap?

Sounds like a well-meaning and deserved apology. Hope it's all water under the bridge now.

@Capall: Not serious :) But I mean, if mugging, why not take a cell phone too, especially if it's an old hoopty that certainly doesn't have no AGPS tracking app on it?

When I mug people, I specifically demand whatever phone they have, so it'll take them that much longer to report the crime.

@JonThomasDesigns: Same thing. "We'll charge your credit card $9.99 a month, starting today."

Yikes, wth with that news headline?

What makes up all the extra thickness? Padding? From the pictures it just looks so...low-rent and ill-fitting. On the third picture you can see the bezel is lifting up over the ipad frame.

I got a shipment notification today too. Scheduled to arrive by August 3, 2010.

Awww, I was hoping that above picture was genuine.

Plastic? Isn't the white part of the iPhone 4 painted glass?

@sam-i-am: "Getting it right" is not mutually exclusive with something like "fixing a problem discovered during production."
