Well, with the C7 production now a distant memory, they really are hemmed in on price range. I’m with Lutz. No more than a $5K bump on the “Base” car, which at 500HP in a mid-engine format will be formidable.  The nutso versions will be well over $120K, but the “base” version suits me just fine.

Your take is correct. Price is everything.

My guess? The only thing that’s new is the engine placement.

The price isn’t going to go drastically up just because the engine is moving back. Basically, he concludes it cheaper to buy a new Tesla. And in spite of the headlines and misinformation to the contrary, you can buy the Basic

Tell that to all the modern pickup trucks with touch screens in them.

The idea wasn’t to build an electric pickup truck, it was to build a Tesla pickup truck. No way to do that except starting with a Tesla. And she did a freaking amazing job.

Cheaper maybe, but WAY more work.

Of course they didn’t cut corners.
Just the roof.

statistics are sexist, Iguess.

Actually it does matter what powers the vehicle.
