Just like ‘there’s a teacher shortage!’ Nope, there’s a shortage of master’s level educated people willing to work for $40K a year while not being given the proper supplies whilst getting shit on constantly.

I can’t speak for “people” but I can tell you why I like it; I think it looks far more elegant than the convertible. The convertible 911 has always looked like a rolling bathtub to me. The Targa fixes that, mostly. If I were going with something open-air, it’d be a choice between the 911 Targa and the 718 Spyder (but…
Pshh, Luddites. I farm with a Porsche.
This is nothing new. I owned a few 80's GM cars where they removed features like the air conditioning, power windows, etc, 10 years after they were new. ;)
I feel like they should just give it to him. You are a click away from giving this guy back his option. Mark it off as good customer service relations and make this dude happy. This is absolutely bizarre to me that they would even bother taking it away.
Horseshit!
You’re right, they did release the specs and IP, but if it were an SAE Jxxxx standard, companies can just say, “uses SAE Jxxx ports/charging stations,” and not mention Tesla at all. I think most consumers are not going to know/care that “SAE Jxxx” would just be the Tesla-style port/station.
They need to make Tesla’s supercharger an SAE standard so other companies don’t feel like they are losing face by adopting a competitor’s system.
Tesla already owns production lines with all the systems you're claiming they're avoiding. Your argument fails both the smell test and any application of Occam's Razor.
Oh for fucks sake, it’s not real. its a just a thing to throw at the internet so internet people blog about Tesla during a period of time when there are tons of other things going on.
Remember when Leonard Nimoy pandered the “next ice age is coming” on In Search Of in the 70's?
My Cayman sport exhaust easily switches on and off so I can be polite to my neighbors but still open it up for when I’m on the twisty roads. Best of both worlds.
I don’t have a problem with their being consequences for speech. I have a problem with the government deciding what those should be.
They are not fans of adding unsprung mass unless forced to by the government or the marketing department. They’re happy to charge you extra for the colored ones though. Mine are the standard silver and black ones but the colored ones are so common that most people don’t even know they’re an option.
It’s the intangible things that make the Porsche better...cars are often a very emotional purchase and Porsche ticks a lot of those boxes.
Potentiometer ?
The fact that we regulate passenger trucks differently than cars under CAFE is absurd. But if you suggest that there is anything wrong with CAFE you’re automatically considered a white supremacist, homophobic FOX news addict.
Noblesse Oblige right there!
You kids get wound up about the dumbest things.
Was thinking more amphibious... or underwater capable.
