To each their own, I guess.
Nobody pays $60 for an eighth of shitty brick flower. I suggest halving your street value estimate again :)
I hear where you’re coming from, but I disagree with your assessment of the miles with respect to value. Sure, the (heinous) interior is in cherry condition, but an important consideration with air cooled Porsches (and really most cars) is that if they’re not driven, rubber parts (seals, bushings, belts, fuel system,…
Money doesn’t buy sense. Case-in-point, gold and silver wrapped exotics.
See my reply to COMTNDRVR below where I explain this in depth. Pretty sure that we both see this the same way.
I’m aware of the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. The state of California certainly seems to think that it’s tax evasion.
Yep, it’s total bullshit.
A good analysis - I really appreciate that. What I’ve said to other folks here is that when a random police officer utters this to the press, we all look the other way. I agree with you 100%. Well played, sir.
Oh, my post is totally pedantic. I don’t dispute that. I still care about it, especially given that it’s a professional writer for a car blog that I enjoy. I expect more.
No thanks. I’m quite happy to do this. You’re welcome to keep on scrolling, though.
I don’t disagree that it’s a pedantic point. However, the person who write the story isn’t a cop trying to sound smarter. It was written by a professional writer for a blog that I happen to really like. Why shouldn’t we expect a bit more from professional writers for publications that we otherwise enjoy?
Well played, sir.
See definition 2 here http://www.dictionary.com/browse/rate
Fair enough :)
This would work, but wouldn’t they witness a “high rate of acceleration”?
Very nicely done. You’re better at this redundant writing thing than I am. :)
