I do love that part - but it had already been pointed out before I got here.

Who is more pedantic, the pedantic poster or the person who takes time out of their day to read the entire post and point out that the post is pedantic?

Rate means speed. Speed means rate. So you’re saying that the driver was going at a high speed of speed (or rate of rate). It’s redundant verbiage that was (presumably) invented by cops to make them sound more official.

Good question. A few answers are in the link below. Basically, it helps drivers determine car class at night.

What a jackhole. He crossed the divider on the previous corner - never acceptable.

Great article. I’m glad that you mentioned the convertible issue in the article, Stef - because I think that this is the crux of the biscuit with BMWCCA.

Came here to post this - leaving satisfied.

Maybe it’s a Euro-thing - but other folks are reporting that they’ve seen it across the pond too.

Yeah, I was totally quoting that. :D

It’s quite likely that it has changed if enough people are doing massive power drifts (or one person managed to hurt someone else doing this). I haven’t been on track with PCA in the last year either.

Wow. What clubs do you drive with? What region?

I’m not saying that you’re wrong, but I ran PCA Potomac in the blue group a few years back at Shenandoah. I was behind a guy in a gutted MB 190E who was drifting pretty hard with the chief instructor in his car on a checkout ride. I’m pretty sure that he wasn’t black flagged (although all of the tail-out shenanigans

Naaw, the triple black flag is a thing alright - happens to me all the time because I drive my Koenigsegg flat out at the track. Most corner workers don’t understand what this is, and fear that I’m being dangerous.

I’ve never been to a single track day where we are warned not to drift during the drivers meeting (or any other time). I’m not saying that you didn’t hear it or that a black flag wasn’t warranted for this driver. This is just the first I’ve heard of anyone being warned against drifting during a drivers meeting.

Ah, thanks for that. Two comments regarding this though.

Are you sure about the CO2? My understanding is that the cheats only involve NOX, and your statement about CO2 is the first that I’ve ever heard of this.

Don’t be ridiculous. China now has far stricter environmental regulations than the United States.

A nice write-up. Given the large player pool, a note on the community itself is probably a good idea. I’ve almost entirely stopped playing after over 10k battles. Two aspects of the community just made the game less fun to play.

Super easy to heel and toe (then again, I’ve never had a hard time with heel-and-toe in any car). I never drove the MkVI, but I’ve spent plenty of time in old air cooled 911's with bottom-hinged pedals, and that arrangement does make for weird ergonomics.

While the launch control helps, it’s not just the launch control that makes the DSG so much faster than the manual in these cars. First, the manual version has a clutch delay valve that prevents these cars from being launched. The more important factor that with the small displacement motor with a large turbo - the
