You may have missed an important part of the article:

    Ha! Well played, sir.

Your stanced car makes you look silly.

I agree that the 911 has morphed into the 928 in terms of dimensions, but I think that modern 911's still hang onto more styling cues from the original cars than they’ve left behind (weird, angular styling of the dash board and knee pads, vent layout, big vertical driver-oriented gauges with an even larger tach

Timing belts on any interference design motor were never a good idea. That being said, that is the first picture of a 928 timing assembly that I’ve seen, and it appears surprisingly simple - although I’m certain that getting to it is a chore. (I’m also certain that proper installation of a new belt requires some sort

I like your comment. That being said, I feel about the same as RWB and Liberty Walk cars as I feel about stancebro cars. In all scenarios, lots of creative work ultimately making a car less functional for any driving situation.

Opinions are like assholes. Chris Nuggets’ opinion is incorrect.

I’m incredibly glad that others share my loathing of presumptive click-bait headlines.

To me, it seems like a difficult call. It appears that the front Miata lifted to give the BMW some room as they were 2-wide and managed to turn in far enough to cut off the camera car who he wasn’t expecting.

Do whatever you want to do. It’s on you. However, de-escalation works both ways. In a random police encounter, you can help contribute to a positive outcome. Is it right that an officer can abuse you? Hell no. But there is an ideal world and there is the way it is. How you play it is up to you.

I can appreciate a good writer’s opinion about the quality of a car’s interior. It’s as valid as an opinion on the ride quality or steering feel.

The article said “mostly college students”.

While we don’t know what really happened, there is enough sketchiness going on to make me believe that a certain level of police misconduct has occurred. A complaint can be filed here.

You bought what you wanted and are not making any excuses. Fine by me.

I don’t know...from the spray, it looked like the safety car hit standing water and legitimately lost it until the car drifted onto dryer pavement. If it was standing water to the edge of the track, that car would most likely have pirouetted off of the tarmac.

In the words of the late great Hunter S. Thompson:

Behold - glorious faux wood panels!

You make a good point about weight. I do think that there is more to it than just being wowed by means and ignoring the ends, though. People like more stuff in their cars - and it all adds weight...whether it’s an infotainment system, lowered NVH (more sound deadening), more power, AWD systems, more airbags, crumple

I’ve owned one. Nice long distance hauler and fun in the snow. It was prone to issues (burned a ton of oil) and got terrible gas mileage. A high point was the high revving and awesome sounding v8. The low point was the handling. At nearly 4000 lbs, I was always aware of the car’s weight. Further, the design of all
