While I have a huge problem with people rolling coal as a political statement...not to mention people removing emissions equipment for their street car to get a bit more performance...or even removing emissions equipment to make their cars more “racy” - I have a huge problem with your premise.

If it can pass a sniffer test on a dyno, why do you care what they did to it?

Musk’s reaction seems so similar to Enzo Ferrari’s response to Ferruccio Lamborghini’s suggestion for improving the 250 into a better touring car...this ended up not working out so well for Ferrari.

Came here for this. Leaving satisfied.

By that metric, the 79% of BMW drivers who can’t be bothered to use their turn signals weren’t assholes...they’re saving the world.

That’s awesome - you need to throw in a “over jump” and a “cut” or a “don’t cut” into there...some of my favorite parts of pace notes. :)

    For your next article:

Due to a stronger Mark/weaker Dollar, prices of the 968 crept up year over year. The base MRSP for the cab grew to $51k, which is about $86k in today’s dollars. If there’s a $15k gap in options, as you say, that’s a $66k 968, which is about $102k in today’s dollar.

I’m not gonna lie. Despite my post, I know that if I were to buy a lightweight sports car, I’d prefer a high revving flat six over a smaller displacement turbo 4. Maybe Porsche will develop the flat 4 turbo well enough that mist won’t notice...but my money wouldn’t be on that.

The 968 didn’t sell because it was just too expensive and the US economy was in a slump. The 944 sold very well, with over 163k made.

Alternatively, it will increase stratospherically in price, because it’s the last ‘real’ Cayman, with an aircooled engine like a proper 911 should have a flat-6 engine like a proper Cayman should have.

I’ve put a wheel/tire package together for you on TireRack. Since there is no way to share a cart, here’s a picture of a cart. Also, TireRack does not offer a winter tire that will fit your Vantage (at least in OEM sizes), so I did the best that I could - these will likely be better than what you’ve got on there. Most

If you had just listed the product and/or some details in your original post, it wouldn’t feel like back pedaling.

According to the article, the dry test was performed in Fontana, CA. There isn’t much weather variation in San Bernadino county - we can surmise that the temperature was somewhere between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Agreed...in no way did I suggest that riders shouldn’t wear helmets. I have yet to hear a compelling excuse for not wearing helmets.

I would still feel bad for them. That is a human being who is in pain. That person made a poor decision, but come on...we’ve all made poor decisions. Some of us are just luckier than others in the outcome of poor decisions.

I’m kind of glad that we live in a world where a person’s stupidity does not automatically exclude them from receiving compassion. I mean, maybe it does in Internet tough guy land...but I don’t want to change things to the point where we leave somebody bleeding to death on the side of the road because they’re stupid

Winter tires offer more grip in cold, dry weather than all seasons do. They’re not just for snow. In your case, you might really benefit from a “performance winter” tire (check Tire Rack, there are several available), which give up some snow performance without sacrificing as much sharpness or dry performance in the

That’s kind of like saying that you’ve never hydroplaned off the road with balding tires. Sure, they’ll get you to work, but in a less safe fashion than the alternative.

There is a lot of information out there about this, but the easy answer is that winter tires still perform better in low temperatures on dry pavement than all-season tires. The all-season tire is meant to offer traction at a wider range of road surface temperatures than snows do- but the AS tires do not perform as
