I never had a problem when I lived in NYC. Maybe the problem isn’t so much with the technology, but an unfamiliar operator.

I wish I could give this more starts. Russians don’t take a dump, son, without a plan.
IMO, the only gauge that is instantly important is oil pressure. Batt temp, engine temp, and trans temp (even boost) are not “holy shit, I need to stop right now gauges”. Engine and transmission temps tend to creep up slowly, and can be monitored fairly passively.
I would bet that the right lawyer could make a case for entrapment...in front of the right judge.
Pulled from another forum, this pretty nicely describes the measures that Porsche took to strip weight from the 911R (including drilling holes in whatever metal they could and using bamboo to support the hood.)
Politician was on the fifth on the list. I put it right between porn star and porn star. Both Dick Sweat and Dick Armey totally agree with you.
With a name like, Dick Johnson a man could be anything he wanted. It just fits so many different professions that most of us just aren’t qualified for:
Comment dismissed - it seems that you are incapable of having a reasonable and polite conversation today.
I’m normally not a schadenfreude kind of guy, but when we’re talking about lowering cars to unusable levels with an unsafe amount of camber on a street car, all I can say is:
Pseudo-endo high side. I believe that you nailed it...or is it a high-side into an endo, as he was hard on the front brake as the back end came around?
Since it’s a global series, it will cost a hell of a lot more to run, too. It’s important to look at the bigger picture on this. Running a regional SCCA or NASA series has you hauling your own car around on a trailer from track to track (or paying for an arrive-and-drive package with someone else’s car that you…
And your qualifications are...that you can type and call other people morons? Come on.
Due to Kinja’s funny threading system, I don’t know which of my comments you’re replying to or what point you’re trying to make.
The best shifting auto that could be had at the time was still no manual.
Here’s some additional information: The SRF has been upgraded to what they’re calling Gen3.
I suspect that the 45k number is the cost of running a series for a season. The $54k cost of the Mx5 does not factor this in, either. In truth, the better money is buying a used srf with a proven history. Many people will want to get out of the cars, spares, a trailer...and these can be had for cheap. (All of these…
Google it yourself then. The series still exists, and SCCA enterprises still makes the chassis, motors, and suspension.
They may be right, or they may be talking about the cost of campaigning the car for a season. Tires, suspension components, etc. If it were me, I would buy a used car with a successful history, and those are selling for $20-25k. Still, this is quite a bit less than the mx5.
