I call it a clock - do you call it something else, or did the name escape you? You seem to be coming at me pretty aggressively, and I'm not sure why. Does this somehow make you angry? Are you just incredulous that someone might just be audacious enough to have a different opinion than you?

    Done.

Came here to post this, left happy. :)

So much this! Not just ahead of his time, but somewhat other-worldly.

I was thinking about that...but I actually think that it is usually the other way. Concept cars tend to have seriously wild and over-stylized interiors, with unnecessary design cues, etc. When these cars go to production, the interiors tend to be much more basic, simplified, and practical.

You're totally right, the GT40's wheel is especially busy. Then again, I'm not exactly in the market for either of these cars. :)

Looking at your post, I seriously prefer the GT40's interior. It's even more minimalist than the NSX.

I think that it looks pretty great. Are Jalopnik writers seriously complaining that an upmarket SUV has morphed into something resembling a wagon?

You are correct in your statement that anecdotes aren't data. I did clearly state that it was Elford's subjective opinion. However, I did share real data with his race win. If you want to dig deeper into my statement, race wins are data, and there is quite a bit there to back this statement up. (Edit: Further,

Vic Elford would disagree with you. He beat the FWD Minis in the snow with a RWD 911, and wrote that in experienced hands, the 911's layout offers the best 2WD performance in slippery conditions. (RWD offers better yaw control than FWD, the latter tends to understeer when losing traction - Elford also described

Your premise is totally incorrect - the S4 Avant is a fine used car! When I can get a Golf R in a stick, you should totally buy my used S4 - never mind that it burns oil...a lot of it. Naaw, you'll be fine.

I like having both water and oil temp gauges (in my non-oil-cooled car). It's a very smart reminder that just because the engine and coolant are up to temp, the oil takes longer heat up and do it's job...so it's not wise to push the motor hard.

    Paaaahahahahaha! Awesome.

    Hey! That's *our* word! ;)

    "Bridge truss" usually preceeds span.

I'm not sure where I implied anything that deserves a response like this. However, I'll humor you.

    ok, fine...western world, at least.

I can't wait for cannabis prohibition to end world-wide. We're just a generation away.
