The responsible thing for Mercedes to do would be to buy it and put it in their own museum along with an exhibit where they own up to their past (via the aforementioned dozens of placards).

That’s definitely one of the reasons, but the other reason is probably that their cars are now 6+ years old and fucking old now interior or exterior wise.
At what point does the criminal become the person or people unleashing these deeply flawed systems on an unsuspecting public?
While I genuinely feel sorry for the dumbass rube who trusted Tesla’s systems, I still place most of the blame on Tesla itself. Just like I would if Cadillac’s Supercruise did the same thing. So while it’s absolutely horrible for the victim’s family, I hope they get a massive payout or force Tesla to open their books…
Just picked mine up.
“incEl Camino”... wow, shut down the net boys, nothing’s ever going to be this funny ever again.
The incEl Camino version of three on the tree.
Car wash mode just closes all windows, locks the charge port, and disables windshield wipers, Sentry Mode, walk-away door locking, and parking sensor chimes.
I sort of agree, but rather than proving you've got insurance before riding dangerously, you should have to prove you're an organ donor.
My favorite story about these guys: The FL attorney that pushed FL to repeal its helmet law died in a motorcycle crash. And it wasn’t even someone else’s fault; he lost control of the bike while slowing down.
I’m at a point where I don’t think we should be fighting to keep idiots alive any more.
Shame, a complete shame.
I wonder what conversations were had about giving the LC the 3.4 V6 from the Lexus GX. That seems like the most obvious way to separate the 4R and LC, but something tells me if you actually gave people that option... nobody would buy the 4Runner.
Touring test...
I like the idea of a driving test for self-driving capabilities. We could even adapt the name of the test used to see if an AI can convince people through conversation that it’s human, to automotive use - call it the “Touring Test”!
I know. But I also know how I drive Le Mans Prototypes in Gran Turismo lol
I think folks are finally starting to realize that Tesla has innovated little to nothing meaningful in the EV field. Of all the shortcomings of the current generation of EV’s, they’ve really addressed zero of them. Making the Cybertruck bulletproof is a neat party trick, but it does nothing to make it a better EV.…
When it comes to matte paint, you and I are brothers from different mothers--nearly as bad as Glossy Primer Grey.
I haven’t been shy about making my feelings known about the noncolor I hate above all: Glossy Primer Grey. And how so many vehicles are actually bought clad with that fancy primer baffles me to no end. Point being just to get away from the Porsche version of Glossy Primer Grey and shoot any other color would be great…
