Engine covers in luxury cars don’t bother me.  People don’t ever “pop the hood” at a car meet.  But in a sports car, I think the ability to view the engine is still an important part of the experience.  For me, new Porsches are not on my list, primarily for this reason.  Even the 996/997 had *some* views...

Not the same, as it doesn’t have a big enough battery.  In my Volt, for example, I can run A/C or heat all night long without the engine running if I’m setup in the Voltebago....

When these came out, they were “meh”...and when the MkIV came out, every single thing was better, which is why the values on these plummeted.  This is coming from a person that worked at a VW/Audi dealership in 1997-99...

GM really needs to use a variation of the Voltec platform.  Use a 2.0 liter turbo 4 as a generator/power booster, setup as FWD and then use batteries/electric motor to drive the rear wheels.  This way you can at least go camping without needing to plug in somewhere.  Come ON.  Someone has to do this.  WTF.  It’s so

Does this female have no fear reflex?  No idea that this might land her in a bad position with an entire culture?  Ugh.  People.

As soon as I read this was in Pekin, that’s all I needed to know...

Seems like we need windowless padded transportation orbs that are durable enough to bump into each other like pinballs. Then, we can flow down the freeway, lightly tapping each other on the way to our destination, all the while watching TV or having a conversation inside the orb.

Cool. Still wouldn’t be my choice if I actually had $200k to spend on a single car.

Exactly!  They are cool projects, never given enough time or funds.

Fair enough.  I guess I just want you to succeed in a more complete manner because your projects are cool and deserve to make their journey

Dude. 1996. That was the business.

Counterpoint: If you cobble it together and it doesn’t really run or get you from A to B, did you accomplish your mission?

so this is the paint you get if you plan to keep it in your living room?

In 1996, my best bud in high school bought one of these in exactly the same condition, only silver exterior.  Threw some TSWs on it, headlight blackouts, a BRA, and we were bombin’.  I would LOVE to have this and that price is a damn bargain for how much fun you will have.  Get ready for a sore left leg though!  That

I think screens will only become an issue when people realize that their car looks dated an obsolete before the 84-month loan is even done.

I really hope current parents aren’t banking on college being free in a few more years.  As much as I would vote for it, it also doesn’t make sense.  It makes sense to make community college and trade schools free...but it doesn’t make sense to make all college degrees free.  Any career that requires minimum education

It’s just a platform...I don’t see the issue here.  If they bolt on upgraded suspensions/brakes/engines/driveline/interior/exterior, I don’t see how your logic holds.  BMW uses platforms as well.  I haven’t done extensive research, but I would assume all major manufacturers use uniform platforms to decrease

What happened to new models every 5-6 years? We need to get back to those days. It sucks to think that you could buy a brand new 370Z and it looks basically exactly like the Zs from the last 10+ years. WTF.

I literally have a Matchbox car in this exact color combination.  I should go find it, but my ankle is broken and the car is in the basement.... NP

Do you feel the same way about Audi being “tatted up” Volkswagens? Can’t these cars just be nice enough? I mean, is a Phantom not worthy because it has a BMW motor? I don’t think I can get along with your comments...
