Gotta say that’s some dedication. Now, the real gem of the Mazda lineup is the Mazda 5 with the 6-speed...need to go check Autotrader....
Had an 89 S13 with the same setup and I can agree it was great. Luckily for me, I still had the original glass when I sold it in 2004. Still miss it.
...buy something slightly used and find yourself getting a lot more car for your money.
I think for the EVs, the numbers should be recalculated after ignoring the $7500 rebate. It skews the resale. I benefited from this, but it would be interesting to see the depreciation if the starting value was reduced by $7500.
Problem is everyone would expect them to be power actuated with a little switch because everyone is lazy now, so it would increase weight and cost. Boo.
I can say that the Volt is more interesting and fun than other basic sedans on the market, but it’s definitely not a “fun” car, in the vein of something sporty like a hot hatch or a sports car. It can squirt through traffic pretty well, and the torque hit is way better than something like a basic Focus/Jetta/Civic,…
First of all, why try to “deny” climate change like that? Just because it’s not as “simple” as an asteroid hurtling toward earth, it’s also undeniably happening and causing all sorts of issues already.
An easy solution is to setup the phone so they have to request permission to install an app. If that’s in place, they can’t put anything on the phone that you haven’t reviewed first. My kids’ phones are gonna be on lockdown until they are 18.
Guessing the $1500 extra is almost pure profit for Ford, and people will buy it because perceptibly they are getting “more car” for their money because it’s taller.
You need to have this with sauerkraut and 1000 island inside.
Had one of those P5s and I can confirm it was great. Except the rust.
And the TL can be had with a 6-speed manual, which is AMAZING.
Can there be a poll?
Jason, in the realm of small generators, wouldn’t a Type 3 pancake motor be an ideal candidate? It could be air cooled, thereby removing the need for a radiator and associated piping. It could be tuned for a narrow power band, and use modern fueling to reduce emission concerns.
Has anyone asked Cummins or Kohler about using rotaries in their generators? I’m guessing they would’ve evaluated this engine design long ago, if it had a whiff of merit. They are still using large, simple piston engines that run reliably for years and years. In super wide ranges of temperature and with fuel that…
Uhhh...so let’s put one of the dirtiest, least tolerant to abuse, least fuel efficient engine designs in cars that are striving for environmental efficiency? Yeah, that makes NO sense.
I stopped reading at 350 bar fuel pump. 5,000 PSI? Does an extra one come in the trunk for when it shits the bed in the first 5,000 miles?
Meh. Looks fine. They’ll sell tons of them. And I won’t be driving one.
TOTALLY agree with the Volvo 480. First time I saw one of those my neck strained while whipping around to look at it. So cool. Must Google.
