Alpine V12...I used to have me one a them...in 2002.

nice.

You killed it DEAD. Nice work. At least it went all the way and not some pussy-ass bent valve stem at the top end of some VTEC Honda.

Good lord. How anyone rationalizes a Range Rover...I cannot comprehend. Even if the costs are covered, I can’t imagine going to the dealership that often! My cars are barely in the shop twice a year...oil/filter and that’s it!

Is this supposed to be a sports car? I think this is just trying to be a cheap, simple runabout...basically a scooter with a roof. And for that, I think it will be a complete failure because once they sell the ones that people have pre-ordered, no one will be there to buy any more of them. Because this is a niche

This thing will absolutely fail. It offers almost nothing of what anyone wants/needs in a car. It’s barely safer than a motorcycle, has room for almost nothing, and there are already cars out there getting close to these MPG numbers with room for actual people/stuff. When you add in the risk factor involved in

I like the contrast it gives to the engine. Docile off boost, perhaps even sluggish...and then BAM! You’re off like a rocket! And even if the car isn’t that fast (because old tech), it just FEELS so fun.

But did we all really agree that turbo lag is bad? I happen to think the spooling effect is really fun. It’s part of what makes driving a turbocharged car interesting and different. I LIKE LAG.

Her name is Hella Nice? Yes. So funny.

I thought of “Ex-Ratti-Four”. No idea why.

Merkur XR4Ti. I used to think of it in my head as “Ex-Ratti-Four”. No idea why, but I did. I was 5 when the car came out.

Dude. So last century.

Way back in the 90s, we called them Shitrockets.

This is barely worth 12 hundred...12 thousand is just silly. This will NEVER be a collectible and it IS a piece of shit.

I get that this car checks a lot of Jalop boxes...but having lived with one as a kid (it was already 15 years old when we got it...I couldn’t do one of these again. It was a piece. When we traded it in and bought a 1989 Taurus LX (with the digital dash and the 3.8L OHV V6) it was a revelation.

My dad had one of these (it replaced a Pinto Wagon) for about a year and a half, and he could NEVER get it running right. Got about 13 mpg IIRC. This needs carbs...STAT.

What’s happening right here? Broken pieces?

You sure about that? The GT350? My money’s on the Mustang at the track.

KAZOOOOOOS is the only one that made me actually LOL.

Yes, that’s why I said the VOLT is better in every way. I don’t know why anyone would buy a Prius. Drive a Volt...you will not want the Prius after.
