So much ugly X6 happening in this front fascia. Whatever happened to elegance?

I’m not suggesting that we should tune cars so that they’re totally clean at WOT. I’m just suggesting that we should at least track/monitor it. The emissions at WOT could be regulated at a much higher level, but don’t you think it’s reasonable to at least look at it?

I think *all* cars should be required to have some portion of the test conducted at FULL THROTTLE. Have you seen how sooty even modern gas cars get these days when the gas is mashed, especially on a cold engine?

Never seen or heard of this lady before, but I like what I hear. Great stuff.

Two Girls One Brat

So far the most I’ve spent was just north of $35k on a lightly used Suburban. I’d probably go north of $100k on a 911.

I agree with you, that a detailed analysis doesn’t pass muster. But when I saw that rear photo and IMMEDIATELY thought “ENCLAVE”...something’s up. Sorry...it just is. We can agree to disagree if you prefer.

I think that works for owners that are out of warranty and never go to dealerships...and have states with very basic emissions laws. If you are still under warranty, they’re going to force a reflash for sure.

Well maybe they should’ve kept the same design language they’ve been using for the tails for the last decade instead of borrowing someone else’s.

I disagree. Everything about the car is the exact same.

All I see is this:

Suplus Enclave taillights?

This must sound amazing, but it would look so weird revving up to 6 grand and howling down the road

The sheer amount of engines they are pumping out is staggering to me.

Good point. And they are regulated differently as a result. And tons of people modify cars so they no longer meet regulations... But that’s still different than tampering with systems to trick your way through tests. Either the engineering is sound and it complies...or they are trying to weasel out of it.

Dude, Motorex is/was TEENY. This is VW we’re talking about and there are half a million of these driving around the US. If the EPA decides to let a handful of R34s keep driving around, that’s very different than the circumstances here. Just because a precedent EXISTS doesn’t mean it automatically applies to ALL

I am still baffled when I meet someone that does NOT like this movie. They are obviously not car people. The combo of cars and many on-location spots where I studied during college...this movie checks all the boxes for me. Love it.

True, that’s better than a turbocharged gas engine at the moment. No question. Get a Volt and average 100+ mpg like me :-)

At first I thought your comment was crazy, but after thinking about all the implications for a while, it really does make sense. I mean, for the past several years, those 500,000 cars have been polluting illegally, causing permanent impacts to the environment...and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The big economic

My Chevy Volt purchase is looking even sweeter right about now. Debated a diesel Golf...glad I didn’t grab it.
