Still hideously ugly. They REALLY want to make this grille happen, don't they?
Still hideously ugly. They REALLY want to make this grille happen, don't they?
That's clearly the obvious answer...but is it really the best engineering solution? I'd think Honda would want something as buttery smooth as possible, not just something that allows for 1" lower overall package. They will have to add a whole bunch of other mechanical components to cancel out the harmonics of this…
This made for a number of changes. Since the last concept, the NSX has grown by three inches in length and an inch in width. It's gone from a naturally aspirated off the shelf engine to a clean sheet design twin turbocharged V6 with a 75 degree v-angle. Right now, this engine will only be in the NSX and the entire…
It's nice. But nothing that makes me want to put one in my future garage. Or even a poster up on my wall. It's just...meh.
Or a cold climate! Or both like Chicago where I live! Cloth is just so much easier to live with on a daily basis.
Agreed. It's a nice material, but Alcantara is still a cloth. It's made of synthetic materials, and is a composite material, but it's not really different from other "cloth" seat fabrics. So, I think we're saying the same thing...cloth is better. The *only* advantages I give to leather are wipe-ability, and smell.…
TOTALLY agree. I've never understood the obsession with leather. Especially in sports cars. It just works against you! Show me ONE modern race car with a leather seat. Cloth is the way.
VW should take a page from the Subaru playbook and do something outrageous across the whole brand. I vote for HATCHBACK EVERYTHING. No sedans. Be the brand with no sedans.
They need to update these tests to reflect how lots of people use these vehicles, which include short trips, and frequent idling. I know that's how my wife uses our Suburban. And I know that's how a lot of work trucks are used. Go look at any job site and see how the trucks are used...either sitting idling, or…
The gearbox is most likely to be the Graziano automated manual they have been developing for a while, but have no fear, the manual remains the standard gearbox for all M600s.
They can't possibly think of calling this a Corvette, can they? They should just name it the Zora or something. The entire lineage is based on FR drivetrain...they need to keep it that way. This needs its own model designation.
Had this in my first car: 1987 Jetta GL. Was awesome. I could whip that thing open in about 3 seconds.
I know this exists, but there is NO WAY I could convince my wife that this is a safe place for kids to ride. In a world with 6,000 pound Suburbans (which she drives), how do those little legs look after a rear-ender?! If they've made it safe, great, but my brain tells me no.
So, there's still some brand-snob appeal to the Lincoln badge, the car is fairly handsome, it has all the toys and gizmos you'd likely want, but I'm still not exactly sure who this car is for. Generally, I'm okay with small crossovers in that they seem to be the magic sauce needed to get Americans to accept hatchbacks…
I don't totally agree... A Prius still gets 50 mpg just cruising around town. Even at $2/gal that's a great deal. And everyone knows this won't last. People aren't ready to get screwed when the price goes back up, so I think it will have less of an impact than people think. Nothing is changing with CAFE regs, and…
Oh, I realize it. And it makes me sad. I guess I'm just saying this:
I Googled just now, and I guess you have a solid point. I still thing GM could've gone aluminum crazy, kept it under 3,800 lbs, and had something special to talk about.
