I'm talking about the fact that Ford and Chevy have been making full-size trucks for forever, and they sell a ton because contractors keep coming back for more. And I'm sorry if you disagree, but I think the Tundra is/was an ugly beast and if the money/specs are essentially the same, I'd put my money in the

Touché.

Meh. I don't get why a person who needs a full size truck would by a Tundra. That's just me. The Chevy/Ford stuff is just better. Better looking. Better sounding. Better brand longevity. Better history. Better.

This is the problem. Needs 6MT. I know that a 2-speed auto from 1950 would do the job with all that torque, but there's just something about sidestepping the clutch. It's not the same without it.

What. The. Fuck.

WTF is up with those wheels? $70k on the trailer and they can't improve the wheels past a set of Wal-Mart hubcaps?

The only way Lincoln survives, in my opinion, is by grabbing the premium hybrid market and pulling it away from Lexus with better styling and better technology. Otherwise, what is the reason for buying Lincoln when you can just buy a nice Ford? And I know that the same can be said for all the non-premium brands, but

My friend in HS drove one of those. It was tan. We called it Spanky. Always tried starting it in the highest gear possible. "Let's try 5th today!" Select 5th gear, rev to redline, slip clutch until forward progress commences....

Could be...but probably not. ;-)

  • It assumes there is both a driver and passenger in the vehicle, each weighing 150 pounds;

All these are kinda "meh" for me. Someone needs to figure out how to disable texting while driving. I was thinking about it the other day and thought maybe we can loop smartphones into the startup sequence. Basically, you start your car with the phone, and then the phone's texts/emails are disabled unless the car

The impact of this could truly be as immense as Elon describes. I think the Supercharger network/technology *alone* will catapult the next wave of cars. Can you imagine if every gas station installed just a couple of Superchargers? It would immediately erase everyone's concerns about range. Overnight, electric

Ahh...I see your point. Yes, the H2 is rather worthless. I'm guessing the owners of these two cars have "image issues". You can't help but get noticed if you're driving either of these two cars. Unfortunately, both the H2 and Smart generate snickers rather than respect and admiration.

What's wrong with it? We love our Suburban, and if I can swing it, my next car will be the entry level Tesla that has been rumored forever....

This is such a great idea. The fact that gear levers no longer have any mechanical connection to the transmission in an automatic makes them obsolete. Buttons on the dash is such a clean, efficient use of space. A perfect example of the ridiculousness of the lever is in a Prius. It's this little ridiculous

WARNING: DO NOT DRAGON. MAY CAUSE SCALDING DUE TO HOT FUMES.

Nice 240 wagon at 2:00 mark...

That is the *only* scenario in which it's better to have the tire outside the vehicle. On the contrary, what about when it's snowy and that tire under there is covered in slush and it's as cold as the air outside!? This was my experience. Needed to replace a tire in the winter and had to crawl around under the damn

This is similar to the setup on the Suburban...and I hate it. You get access to a dirty tire/wheel. And then you have to decide whether to hoist the flat back up into that location (which sucks) or throw it in the trunk. Wouldn't it just be easier to create a valley in the cargo area like all other cars and put it

Dat (lack of) B-pillar!!!
