You know how many people care that you don’t use backwards compatibility on consoles that have them? Take a guess! NONE!

By far the best thing about the MS conference. Hats off to them. Where are all those people who were going on about how “the architecture is totally different on the Xbox and ps3 blablabla bullshit bullshit bullshit”.
Exactly!
Where’s the people who were calling Ryu a “Mario clone”? Come out, come out wherever you are!
Spot on! I think this is what “afriendtosell” doesn’t realise. It’s almost impossible that Roy and Ryu were created in response to the polls as, according to Sakurai, it takes time to get characters into Smash; so I don’t think these are a result of the polls.
I think the issue with Sony and the vita was a case of Sony not financially capable of running a 2 horse race; especially when one horse isn’t guaranteed to do well. Nintendo has the finance and creativity to single handedly support their platforms, which is what they’ve been doing with the WiiU. Nintendo misstepped…
It seems like this is using the same kinda art style with Smash Bros on the 3DS. I don’t see any other way it could run.
No, it’s simple if you’d taken the time to READ about it. You know, like how 2+2 is simple but it wouldn’t be if you didn’t take the time to learn how to count to 10.
I think it’s inevitable that some people will be unhappy regardless of how good the majority think it is. It’s impossible to please everyone so you’re better off pleasing those you know will appreciate your efforts e.g the people who liked the first one.
“...something better that we can all be happy with.” What about “all” the people who enjoyed the first one and are looking forward to this? Do you speak for them too?!
Hey Richard, this article should have started with “ I played the first Xenoblade Chronicles...and I didn’t like it “. That way, people can clearly see where you’re coming from. Because this may come across as “ not as good as the first one” when what you’re really saying is “More of the same”.
I’m just not convinced by these “HD remasters”. Besides being a bit clearer and less fuzzy, it doesn’t do much else. I’ll pick it up when they have a sale on PSN.
It really hurts to think about the things we, as human beings, have done not only to each other, but to the earth itself. If mother nature knew what we as a species would bring to this world, she most likely would have exterminated us a long time ago. Wars, man made epidemics, colonialism... And the worst part is that…
Yeah. I know that and you know that but why doesn’t Sony just explain it that way so that the less tech savvy folks understand the reason behind it. They just say “PS4 will not support backwards compatibility”; like it’s something the hardware could support but they chose not to do it.
Yeah, but the ps5 is at least another 4-5yrs away. Who knows the processor architecture scene will be like then? You have to think that if something comes up that easier, cheaper and better supported than x86, Sony wouldn’t hesitate to jump ship. Great business move but no backwards compatibility and more 4kk/hyper HD…
Yeah, this is the current state of gaming.
I’m glad you said it. This is the reason why Sony/MS don’t give a hoot about backwards compatibility; so that they can make a quick high res/frame rate port of a last gen game and cash in.
I hope these will be worked on well enough to warrant a release on the ps4. TLOU wasn’t really worth the upgrade cos it was already such a great looking game to begin with and it needed a lot more than a frame rate and resolution boost to make it stand out on the ps4.
Did you play the global test fire? I’m gonna say no cos if you did you’d realise that voice chat is inconsequential. And how do you know you’ll be charged for more maps? Did I miss that announcement? Or maybe you’re a time lord and have already paid for some additional maps...
I’ve recently gone back to watch Game of thrones from season 1 again, and it really does open your eyes to a lot of things you didn’t notice or just forgot about. It’s such a shame that the Starks are just too noble and good for their own good. Rob was winning the war but like his father before him, he wasn’t playing…
