Ah! I see..don’t own an apple device so no experience with airplay..then they could get a dock with an HDMI and you’ve got a fully fledged console experience/mobile phone/handheld console. If you think of it that way, it's good value for money.

I reckon you'll be able to 'cast' it onto your TV

There’s just no reason this couldn’t work on an decent android/apple mobile phone. If Sony wanted to, they could charge for a proprietary piece of software, link it all to your account and ps5 and release an “official” dual sense mobile phone holder. But no; they had to go and do this.

The DS introduced touchscreens in gaming, the Nintendo 64 introduced a unique controller with rumble feature. And then you have the GameCube, which also had a unique controller, then the Wii had the wiimote, the WiiU had the Gamepad and the Switch has the Joycons. Nintendo have always said that it's their software

As per switch games, this usually only applies to the west. I can bet that the Asian release of Arkham collection will have all games on a single cart just like other releases in that region.

Piracy is not a Nintendo only problem. Nintendo just happen to be the only ones actively trying to shut it down. A simple search online and you can get almost any Sony legacy game for free illegally. Nintendo have always been behind in implementing a cohesive ecosystem but it looks like they've got it right with

Abandoned??? You expect them to keep supporting a deluxe edition of a previous gen game for what...5 years! The fact that we're getting extra dlc at this late stage is a miracle. Mario kart 8 deluxe is already so full of content as it is.

And herein lies my confusion with PlayStation console sales going back to the PS4. Everyone claims it's the exclusives but I didn't see the numbers to back it up, and the trend continues on ps5

Uhmmm...the XSX has an expansion slot which takes the same time to install as a usb stick.

My series X expansion installation took as long as it took to take it out of the box.

This is the first sensible write-up I've read since this thing was announced.

Every big dev/publisher does this. Announce a game years in advance is not a new trend. Annoying? Maybe. But very common.

It happened but it was dealt with by retailers - take it in and get a new one. We did lots of 360 controllers and dualshocks this way when I worked at a game store. But I think it's different now and people having to go through the manufacturer's warranty process is causing delays and uproars

I think any potential doc/ideas for Mario Kart will be funneled to Mario Kart 9 instead, but seeing as 8 is still doing so well, we may not see 9 for another 2 years or so.

I'm all for something different but different doesn't equal good. If the game turns out to be fun and well made, then I'll be glad.

It’s been long but I don’t know if it’s ‘awaited’. Since I first saw this, it just seemed like a really odd game to be making in this time and age. It's more reminiscent of the GameCube/PS2 era. Hope it looks and plays well though.

No my friend. The last great game they made was The Last Story on the Wii. One of the best RPG's of any generation and it's crying out for a remaster. If you haven't played that, do yourself a favour and get it.

My only wish with the Switch is that it retained the WiiU’s dual screen ability. Playing a game like ZombiU, some of the Nintendoland Asymmetric games on the WiiU really makes you understand that Nintendo had something special there.

But do you think the show would need actual voices for the characters? I'm not sure how it'd be watching a whole series with Animal-crossing speak...

Ok cool. Thanks for clarifying.
