I think wanting that is completely human. Putting yourself above wanting that is to reach a level,of spirituality that is above normal humanity.

I think they presented it more like an inside joke on how actors always want to play their favorite characters to mixed results. You can tell by how Jane Curtin played into it. Hopefully I'm not being too obvious but I thought that was the jist of it.

it's been about a week since of was reported that the doctors have said there's not much they can do for her and that it'd take a miracle for her to recover. It's unlikely that she'd survive being taken off life support.
