on my N1 with Froyo, pressing on any notifications still take me to the browser :[

@Tha-Militant: just install it from the market, you'll get the upgrade.

My best friend, who was my roommate for more than three years in the Army, lost his lower left leg in Iraq. He was given a Segway by a veterans organization to help him out. Though he has great prosthetics, walking more than a mile or so is a task, so the Segway is a huge help when taking the family to a theme park,

@D.LYTE: exactly why I would love to have this function for my Nexus One...

@Graeme Donaldson: won't hurt to try, if you want to find out for sure - probably the quickest way, too :]

@thatguyzx: After 2.5 years on a jailbroken iPhone, I can't stomach the thought of rooting my Nexus One, even after more than six months. I am really enjoying the simplicity and stability of stock updates. Maybe someday...

@Graeme Donaldson: If you stick a SIM card in from another operator will it work? If not, it's locked.

I'm actually kind of jealous about these two bits...

@JakeMG: Ω Man: yeah, I can see what there is to like in the idea of what essentially looks like a Nexus One + physical keyboard. The form factor turns me off, though - whenever I've used a touchscreen phone with full qwerty slider, it felt weird, as if the phone often wanted to open up when I was trying to use it

"It's been a long time coming for those of us who bought the G1 and haven't been offered a worthy phone to upgrade to."

@Insecur1tyGuard: I like the trackpad on my MacBook Pro enough that I use the laptop at home connected to an external monitor and keyboard, but still use the trackpad on the MacBook Pro instead of plugging in a mouse.

I use my MacBook Pro at my home office attached to a 22 inch HD monitor and external keyboard, with the MacBook Pro acting as a second screen and trackpad instead of plugging in a mouse. It's very convenient, so I can see just how cool this big trackpad would be.

@chefgon: Exactly. I love my Nexus One, and love getting timely updates. I was eagerly awaiting Nexus Two...

I deleted Fring when it lost Skype connectivity. Absolutely worthless without it.

@itsnewman08: Any time a robot keeps a soldier from entering the line of fire, I'm all for it. Until the robots revolt, that is. Then we're all screwed.

@sygyzy: Not sure you'll ever find a machine that works perfectly from the factory. That's why people tinker with them. Some machines are just easier to tinker with than others :]

@John Spencer: in that I believe you are indeed correct. Great service for their members.
